I know that, but nevertheless, They awoken their MS. Kishi has made contradictions in his story, it happens to a lot of writers.

It also said you must kill your best friend, but Shisui or Itachi didn't. You can argue Shisui dying helped Itachi awaken his eyes.

I don't think Kishi made any contradictions with Ms. Itachi was lying. That is obvious.
