Ferguson-the best manager/coach ever?
I believe he's best manager/coach ever.why?
Here are some few points:
1) longest reigning coach.
2)title of knight given by the queen.
3)has won most manager of the year.
4)he became a coach in a time when manu was in deep peril.
5)he's one that made beckham and ronaldo a superstar.
Boy, man u would suck without him.

Re: Ferguson-the best manager/coach ever?
From all the managers I've seen in the last 2 decade with my own eyes, I'd say Sir Alex is the greatest - better than the likes of Guardiola, Mourinho, Wenger, Del Bosque, Capello, Löw, Ancelotti, Rijkaard, Scolari, Hiddink and so on...
But were I to look into history books, then I do notice some names who achieved outstanding achievements - some that may overshadows Fergie. Notably Brian Clough, Helenio Herrera, Mario Zagallo, Sir Matt Busby, Bill Shankly, Rinus Michels, Jimmy Hogan, Herbert Chapman, Joseph Herberger, Sir Alf Ramsey, Cesar Luis Menotti, Enzo Bearzot, Hugo Meisl, Vittorio Pozzo, Aime Jacquet and so on...
I haven't seen any of the coaches - except some glimpse matches on Net or Special DVDs. But a coach's ability can less be perceived on 2-3 matches; contrary to an extraordinary player's ability. So, I'll neither be presumptuous by exclaiming that Fergie surpassed them nor will I say that they are obviously better since I haven't seen them.

Re: Ferguson-the best manager/coach ever?
No doubt about it mate.
Quoted from Man Utd website:
"Sir Alex Ferguson is the most successful manager in British football history – winning more than 30 trophies during his time in charge of the Reds. Yet despite more than two decades at the United helm he remains focused on increasing that tally, bringing yet more silverware to Old Trafford."
Ok here's his list of achievements while at Old Trafford:
12 Premier League titles (1993, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011)
5 FA Cups (1990, 1994, 1996, 1999, 2004)
4 League Cups (1992, 2006, 2009,2010)
2 Champions League titles (1999 and 2008)
One FIFA World Cup (2008)
Other titles are 10 Community Shields, one UEFA Super Cup, one UEFA Cup Winners Cup, and the Inter- Continental Cup.
This is more than enough evidence that Fergie is the best manager ever! :D

i think its safe to say that he is, i mean he build MANU from scratch and redeemed the team former glory and destroy the arrogance of Liverpool.
