    Is SAO any good?

I've been hearing a lot about this anime lately and I wonder if it lives up to the hype. Anyone mind giving me the rundown on it?

i like it basically it's people who are stuck in a game and the only way out is to clear all 100 levels but if you die in the game you die for real

I really like it so far. I don't have a massive knowledge of anime but to me the plot seemed different enough to be interesting. After that the strong character development go me hooked and I've been watching ever since. The character roster isn't huge but all the characters seem likable and well developed.

The animation is clean as anything but the same could be said about most anime these days. The second season has the potential to be a bit lackluster (concept wise) but so far I can't fault it ( it's the 2nd ep though). Its just a bit different from the first season so I may just need to get used to it ( can't say more without spoilers).

From what I hear it's based off of some very popular light novels, i think 4-5 books, which i think may roughly equate to seasons. So the series obviously has more to it that isn't crap - which is always good.

What second season? ALO is the second arc of the first season... the first season has a total of 25 episodes. The second season will be GGO.

O' really didn't know that. It was a bit different and as you said a new arc so I just assumed it was a new season. But now I think about it there was no gap - so it couldn't have been a new season haha.

Personally, I asked myself the same question and I decided to watch some of it to see for myself. Apparently, it is about a boy who he, along with others, get stuck in a game and if you die in the game, you die in real life.

I watched the first 3 episodes and i found it "alright" It reminded me ALOT of .Hack// which is probably why I was drawn to it at first, but then realized it was like watching it over again, but a little differently. Personally, I have nothing against the anime as a whole, it just in my taste, was like watching a rerun for me. It isn't bad though, it has great artwork and music, but I couldn't get drawn in, it was lacking something for me. I guess if you are a .Hack// fan, you see the resemblance and it gets a little harder for you to like >.< It was like watching Digimon and Pokemon for me in ways. I liked Digimon at first because of the similarities, then I saw how similar it was and I took no interest in it and went back to Pokemon haha xD

As .Hack// is more of an action/thinking kind of anime, SAO to me is more of an action/romance anime, which I tend to focus a little less on haha. Then again, this is my opinion so who knows, you may like it :3

I thought there wasn't going to be a second season. I thought if anything, GGO and Mothers Rosario would end up being OVA's lol.
