they didnt know that obito was obito they thought he was madara and nagatos plan was different from obito's and madara's if im not mistaken

You do realize that Nagato had no idea that Madara and Obito was going to use his Rinnegan to revive Madara right or that they were going to create the Tsukiyomi world, right? Nagato had Akatsuki collecting the tailed beasts so that they'd be mercenaries, hired by which ever country willing to pay during war time and using the bijuu as Weapons of Mass Destruction, which ultimately would cease all wars. When Tobi came along posing as Madara, he didn't tell him his plans, he gained Nagato's ballet by supporting Nagato's own goals while secretly using him.
It was more so Nagato seeing Tobi as an aid to his plans and not the other way around.

I don't think that Nagato knew about Obito's plan. After all, he was already so intent on executing his own plan which was to annihilate part of the whole continent at once to scare people into peace.
