Caius is a tall, slender, and muscular man with light bronze skin and purple eyes. He has long purple hair adorned with feathers and tribal beads, and he wears a long, purple and black headband. Caius wears form-fitting black and purple armor and dark boots lined with white fur.

Caius is described as a person with a calm personality, but he rarely displays his emotions, making it difficult for others to tell what his thoughts or intentions are, but he has an unwavering willpower. Caius may appear to be silent until he sees a weakness in his enemies, and once he does, he will expose it without mercy. Caius is ultimately a man consumed and driven by sorrow and anguish.

☬ History :

The story begins in the Land of Water. This country had been badly damaged by the war wich had taken place among all of the countries. A large number of talented shinobi fought and died in this war, some who possessed a kekkei genkai. Once the war ended and the Land of Water returned to its peaceful state, a lot of its inhabitants came to fear the people who possessed a kekkei genkai. These people were rejected by their own friends and comrades. Even their own family members who didn't possess the kekkei genkai turned their back upon the cursed kekkei genkai users. The ones with kekkei genkai were forced to hide their identity. Caius was no exception, he was born with the mark of a Dark Release user on the palm of his left hand. Caius was abandoned by his biological parents and was taken in by a tribe which roams across the Ninja World. But Caius, as he grew up learned the truth of his birth and felt shame, such shame that he covered up the mark and chose to abandon this potential power. Growing up alongside two fellow tribe members, Yeul who possessed exceptional medical skills and Ballad a shinobi with great potential, Caius grew close to the both of them but as they aged one fight would forever change their way of life. Caius and Ballad had both fallen for Yeul and that rivalry turned into hatred which got out of hand so much that Caius and Ballad resorted to a duel, a duel to the death so that their personal feud would be forever put to an end. The battle however was not in Caius’ favor, Caius was overwhelmed and continuously driven back by his old comrade and just as Ballad was about to land the final blow on Caius they both heard a scream, Yeul who was watching from a distance was surrounded by bandits, or so they thought. They were assassins who were after Yeul’s life, why though is something they would never find out. Caius although on the verge of losing his conciousness rushed towards Yeul but before him it was Ballad, who shielded Yeul and lost his life in the process. This angered Caius, he felt it was his fate to either live by Yeul’s side or die protecting her and did not want anyone else to do so. The enemies however were still there and in a fit of rage with no regard to his own life Caius attacked them and while a normal shinobi would have already been dead Caius kept fighting on until Yeul was safe. One week later Caius woke up in a bed, Yeul was sitting by his side and told him that the tribe had moved on and abandoned them, Caius however did not mind such a matter and only was glad the two of them had survived and in honor of his fallen comrade Caius took the name Ballad on as his last name, thus continuing his life under the name Caius Ballad. Together with Yeul, or so he thought. They were in the Forest of Death, near a large lake with water that was crystal clear, this is when all of the sudden Yeul died in Caius’ arms, apparently she was poisoned and the poison used wouldn’t take effect until after a few weeks. Caius knew who had sent the assassins, yet he also knew he would be unable to take them on and determined to gain as much power as he can in order to exact his revenge, Caius decided to accept his curse, the mark of a Dark Release user as a gift and travelled west. He honed his skills during his travel and discovered his main affinity for the Earth element, this is when he met a reknown Earth user from Iwagakure, Kerrah. In order to test the extent of his skills Caius challenged the shinobi to a battle, but his skill was not yet anywhere near the Earth user’s skill. Thus, after admitting his defeat Caius asked Kerrah to help him hone his skills in the Earth element so that he could master his main affinity. This led to Caius travelling alongside the shinobi to the village of Iwagakure and was introduced to their Kage. From that moment on Caius would call Iwagakure his home yet this would not make him stray from his original goal, his revenge.

☬ Will of Rock :

Caius has a really strong willpower and carries the will of rock inside from his very proud village of Iwagakure. Having such strong will means that in a fight, small injuries are not enough to stop him. His will to live for and protect the village is a very great deal, it has helped him many times in fights.

☬ Doton :

Caius is exceptionally gifted at doton, having it both as a specialty and first affinity he can perform earth jutsu with but one handseal. Caius managed to harness his earth chakra properly after training vigoursly and soon grew to be adept in the use of earth jutsu. He often practices his earth jutsu and with help has gained a fair understanding of the earth element.

☬ Raiton :

Caius's second affinity is raiton, also being one of the elements which makes up his Kekkei Genkai. He honed his skills in the use of lightning chakra due to training vigoursly and grew adept in the use of lightning jutsu but although he was unable to harness lightning chakra to the same extent as earth chakra he is able to perform lightning jutsu at a faster rate than the average ninja

☬ Batoidea :

Batoidea is a superorder of cartilaginous fish commonly known as rays and skates, containing more than 500 described species in thirteen families. They are closely related to sharks, from which they can be distinguished by their flattened bodies, enlarged pectoral fins that are fused to the head, and gill slits that are placed on their ventral surfaces. Some species of Rays being able to naturally generate a eletrical discharge used as a self defense or offense mechanism to stun a predator or prey. While others have what could only be describe as a tail with a barbed stinger on the end, that can literally be launched, the stinger containing naturally produced toxins that are usually protein based, and can be used to alter respiratory and heartbeat rate. Some even having what could be described as a long saw like nose used for slashing at prey and predator alike.

☬ Ragnarok :

Caius carries an odd large sword across his back which is named Ragnarok, although the ornaments across the sword and the eye in the center of the hilt might make one wonder if it's really a sword as it looks like quite a monstrosity.
