[Discussion] How strong would 8th gate Gai be?

I'd say he gets tied with the physically fastest and strongest since it has such a high cost. The name suggests it's a technique that's beyond life or something which means the power has to
somewhat match its hype. I can't imagine Gai in 8 gates being any less powerful than a rinnegan user so yeah, I think him using it will be key to defeating Obito or Madara and then his character
will be killed off.

Am I missing something, or is Guy not already faster than kakashi. He defeated Kisame! With one hit! Kisame is Kage level, so 8th Gate has to be something amazing. Not faster than the 4th though, but stronger than everyone phisically strength wise.

It's a very deligate, you are using your death wish to gain energy so its properly good for a one shot jutsu so against someone skillful or someone with more chakra level it wont work because his the opponent reflexes it u die afterwards

i reckon Gai is set to die, however since Kishi has waited this long to show the 8th gate, it should be epic, and im hoping decisive , at least create an opening against madara

I have a feeling 8th gate Gai, will be as strong as edo madara at least for a brief moment. Now the real question is when Gai dies, since you know hes most likely going to die; from more then likely going 8 gates at a attempt to save Kakashi.

Now once hes dead will kishi decide to edo him, since can you imagine a permanent 8th gate Gai that can never die? I don't know, but that would be for me as scary as an edo madara. ^^

8 gates give the user a power beyond kage level, but i dont think even in his 8 gates form can take on all 5 current kages, maybe 3 at tops

That can be taken 2 ways, the first is that you're stronger than all of them, the second is that you're stronger than only 1 of them.

Personally I like to think the 1st and that he'll end up having to use it soon...
