    The Way of The Ninja

    -Waits for sensei-

Terrain: Open grassland with circular stone markings on the ground, creating a 5 element representation. My meditative area lies just in the centre of the circle with the Kanji written of "Chakra"

Re: The Way of The Ninja

Arriving upon the scene was simple, yet deliberate. Squinting my eyes into the sky, I masked my gaze with an arm, barely noticing the sunny skies.
My student was one named "Pradattauchiha", and it was without doubt that he was the one waiting in an expectant manner in the training grounds.
I noted his curious choice of surroundings, including a rather old imprint of the five elements.
As he was the only one lying within the design, watching the sky with a reminiscent gaze, I approached quietly, yet letting my presence be known as I neared him.
"Hello, Pradata," I greeted, offering him a hand. "My name is Akihiko. I'll be your sensei in Ninjutsu. But first, can you tell me why you want to learn Ninjutsu and how you plan to use it in battle?

Re: The Way of The Ninja

    -Gets up and shakes hand-

    It's an honor..sir

You ask me why I want to learn Ninjutsu. For that, let us go the the definitions of Ninjutsu. Ninjutsu stands for the utilization of one's internal energy, or chakra. It is the application of the combination of spiritual and physical harmony in a body. Firstly, I want to learn it inorder to find a better shinobi within me. Ninjutsu let's me explore more within myself and find new heights of my abilities. The universe lies within the heart of a man, and Ninjutsu training will let my body be one with the mind [Which is a great achievement in itself]. For battles, and so you may say, Ninjutsu is essential as the combined energy of the body can be manipulated to protect ourselves from external attack. It can also be used for offensive purposes.

To be more "exact", I plan to use Ninjutsu quite uniquely. The Ninjutsu training covers alot of part where chakra is utilized. There are also many jutsu's that have both offensive and defensive abilities. According to my fighting style, Ninjutsu would be a defensive method, interpting the opponent's moves and mainly countering their Ninjutsu attacks. I'm usually offensive minded with Genjutsu, and prefer Ninjutsu as a great defensive help.

Re: The Way of The Ninja

An excellent response, and one well expected. I would like to go over your points, if you don't mind.
-Ah, yes, Ninjutsu is indeed a very general term, in fact. While it also includes the basic five, the Ninjutsu that we will be learning focuses more on, as you said, a balance of physical and spiritual harmony. This includes utilizing your chakra in creative ways, along with the usage of basic ninja tools. Well said, by the way, have you ever considered talking with Kaito? Your words remind me a lot of his.
-A Genjutsu user, eh? Perhaps, what you speak of is more attributed to the aspect of psychological warfare, playing with the enemy's minds until they begin to believe their senses are tricking them and their moves are no longer rational. I would enjoy going over some of my personal tactics with you then, if you don't mind.

Well then, let's start rather simple.
I'd like to go over the Ninja tools, as people often forget that there are no restrictions regarding the usage of Ninja tools, so feel free to use them as much as possible and as creatively as you can.
    Let's begin with the kunai:

How do they work and how might you use one in battle?

Re: The Way of The Ninja

I am just loving training with you

    ++++++++++++++++++++++

I never got chance to talk with them.
I would also love to go through the psychological manipulation of the opponent using genjutsu, creating a more "physical" move out of it. Personal tactics discussion would be great.

Well, kunai's are metal tools.Their working relies on their design or shape, and the density of the element used to create it. Physical force is exerted into it so that the sharp edges travel through air and force is maintained. Nowadays, only the new RPers who haven't got much training seem to use Kunai's [and other Ninja Tools]. No one else.
Kunai's can be used efficiently in a battle. As I said, a small combo can do great harm. The main objective is the utilization of what we are learning right now (Ninjutsu) and the Kunai, to form a harmony between them. Example usage:

    _____

As soon as you come into view, I bind you in a genjutsu using:

    ( Kokuangyo no Jutsu ) - Bringer-of-Darkness Technique

    Rank: A
    Type: Supplementary
    Range: Short-Mid
    Chakra Cost: 30
    Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user makes one handseal, causing the opponent to believe they have been trapped in a world of infinite darkness, where their sense of sight is useless. It is capable of affecting multiple targets within range. However, it does not negate their other senses.

Binding you in total darkness. As soon as this is done, the second after you are bound, stopping you from moving, so you can't use handseals or stab yourself to break out of the genjutsu:

(Kanashibari no Jutsu) - Temporary Body Paralysis Technique
    Rank: D
    Type:Supplementary
    Range:Short-Mid
    Chakra:15
    Damge Points:N/A
Description: Kanashibari no Jutsu is an advanced Ninjutsu technique used to temporarily bind an individual or animal. With the person frozen in place, the ninja can either take the opportunity to attack or to retreat.

This wont do you any damage, just bind you in place while as I instantly follows up with Kunai's heading towards you'r head.
Now, in this part several different jutsu's can be used for greater effect and more use of "chakra" . That is: Ninjutsu with Kunai's

Two of them as an example->
(Fūton: Kaiten Shuriken) - Wind Release: Rotating Shuriken
    Rank: C
    Type:Attack
    Range:Short-Mid
    Chakra Cost:15
    Damage Points:30
Description: This technique will infuse wind-based chakra into bladed weapons. The user can than manipulate the blades in a spinning manner to attack the target.

(Ninpo: Kakuu no mai ) - Ninja Art: Arrial Dance
    Rank: D
    Type: Offensive
    Range: short - mid
    Chakra cost: 10
    Damage points: 20

Re: The Way of The Ninja

Well said about the kunai. However, think a little bit deeper about their design, including the hole on top of it. You can attach many things to it, including smoke bombs, flash bombs, explosive tags...
Relating to what I said earlier about psychological warfare, how might you think attaching a fake explosive tag and tossing it at your opponent work?
Also, while you explain how to use it in conjunction with Genjutsu, say that you were locked in close combat with your opponent. Which places would you strike him in order to deal him an instant death? Because close range battles often go faster and things are more violent, it is also important that you know which vital areas to strike, especially if you also want to utilize Taijutsu.

Your strategy was great, haha, though if you place someone under that eternal darkness Genjutsu, sound would not be muffled, so they would be able to hear your weapon coming.
Yes, Ninjutsu will deal with a lot of weapons and I will go over them more in detail as we get there, including several laws of physics.

Re: The Way of The Ninja

    Alright, Great xD

I recently encountered a skilled RPer hazama, who had this Sound release. He used "Inner Sonar Skill" when I used that Genjutsu on him. He heard my wind blades come towards him and he countered easy. This is what you're talking about, right? Regarding the ability to hear while inside the gen?

I thought of more offensive genjutsu to deal with it. Here is my CJ submission:

    [Genjutsu: Henshoku Assarishita]- Fading Light
    Rank: S
    Type: Offensive | Defensive
    Range: Short-Mid
    Chakra Cost: 40
    Damage Points: 80
Description: This is a slow acting genjutsu. The user, utilizing his chakra, creates an illusion where the opponent notices fade of light from his eyes continually until he collapses down due to complete blindness. The genjutsu actually executes in such a way that the opponent doesn't realize he is in a genjutsu since the terrain and the situation is same as before being placed in genjutsu. After getting trapped in the genjutsu the opponent [in real and instantly] collapses down on the floor but doesn't realize the "bump" of landing and such due to the strong effect of the chakra on his mind.

Note: Can only be used once.
    Must have mastered Genjutsu.
User cannot use genjutsu for the rest of battle.
Blindness stays for 2 turns as a post-traumatic effect.
The opponent doesn't experience "Immediate fade of light" after genjutsu us activated. It takes 3 seconds (inside genjutsu) to start losing eyesight and 7 seconds to go complete blind.

Yes, the opponent can listen, but the psychological assault faced by him, the "Post-Traumatic" effects are the major threat to the opponent.

I'm not very sure with the Fake Kunai , since people with Hyuga bio's can easily see the difference. Normally, throwing alot of Fake kunai's at opponent means that the opponent counters by huge wind/fire jutsu. This is what happens nowadays :/

Now, I'm confused. What should I do now? Shall we begin or?

Re: The Way of The Ninja

Nope, because the particular Genjutsu you used does not actually block out sound, and that is one way for opponents to be notified of your upcoming jutsus. And that Genjutsu submission is kind of OP...'
Well, by forcing people to counter it with a fire/wind move, you basically have them take up a spot in their jutsu slot. It's actually predictable, known as the cause and effect. For example, you used a Wind Jutsu to blow away the explosive tag, thus, I can follow up with a prepared fire move to disregard your Wind Jutsu, so that it overcomes it and is sent back at you two times stronger.
By taking the upper hand, you can juggle your opponent around and have them react the way you want to, as we are all forced to make moves and survive in a battle. This is most often used in chess, where it is necessary to be able to predict several moves ahead of the opponent.
It's actually important to know this in Genjutsu because, as I said it earlier, a lot of this is psychological warfare.

Now, since we're done discussing the Kunai, let's move on to the Shurikens.

How might they work and how would you use them in battle?

Re: The Way of The Ninja

The design of a shuriken is quite unique, having four sharp blades. Due to it's design it travels through the air much lighter, and faster than a normal kunai. It often has a hole at the center, allowing for the user to tie threads, and wires. They are mainly used as a distraction, or nuisance to the opponent, and due to the design the user is able throw multiple shurikens in rapid successions, further irritating the opponent. They are also used for setting up traps, mainly using threads.

He used raiton and combined chidori with demon wind shuriken. Also, he used Shadow Shuriken jutsu + Threads to provide a wider range of attack.

Alright, let's move on to the smoke bomb. What do you know of them?

Re: The Way of The Ninja

    Pretty confusing, to be honest.
If you have a doujutsu or are a sensor, you can see past them. Also, there is more probability of the opponent to use the wide scale technique if he/she finds the user using smoke bombs to escape or cause diversion.
However, we can use this appropriately when combined with an earth technique. Eg: If you tag smoke bomb with "Badrock Coffin" , then opponent can't see. This gives them more venrulability to "Temporary Body Paralysis" and such, and also to genjutsu that maybe devastating for the opponent when used perfectly.

You covered everything I was basically looking for, excellent.
Remember if your clone uses a smoke bomb, you can easily blow it away with a Wind move too.

Alright, let's move on to flash bombs.
What do you know of them?

Re: The Way of The Ninja

If I were in Nara clan, they would be great for me, really. They can extend the shadow really far. Also, they can be used to blind the enemy and make sure you don't get blinded yourself. Hyuga's would pierce through it. So, use it best when you have forest as surroundings. Make sure the flash bomb has the use in a battle. Don't rush it out, really, and fail your move.
    I don't know much since i don't use them. Help me :o

Re: The Way of The Ninja

You pretty much covered everything that needed to be said except, where exactly would you throw a flash bomb for the biggest effect?
And easiest way to remember would be:
    Smoke bomb = Cover.
Flash bomb = Opening to attack.

    Glad to hear. ^_^
Alright, let's move on to the first jutsu, providing you keep in mind the concepts I just taught you.
Take these two Shurikens and then proceed to judge their shape and size.
Then, with precise aiming, toss them at my clone, hiding the second one in the shadow of the first one, and describe the effects it would have on my clone.

Re: The Way of The Ninja

-Activates Sharingan and takes the shurikens-

Silent, yet smooth as water, I prepare 2 shurikens on my hand.I observe the shape and size of the shurikens, I decide to do initiate my technique. Utilizing my sharingan and vision to the extent, I release one of the shurikens hooked between my middle and index finger while immediately releasing the other shuriken kept between my middle and ring finger. This way, the first shuriken travels on a straight path while the second shuriken follows up on the darkness of the shadow of the first. Thanks to the method of release, their while less gap between the first and the second, however they both don't affect each other's path.

Effects: Well, the effects would slightly differ upon the area of body it is thrown at. But, when it strikes you're clone, the shape and the velocity causes the shurikens to sink deep on you're clone and disperse him. Even if he threw a shuriken to counter mine, he will have little time to realize the second shuriken moving towards him.

Re: The Way of The Ninja

Beautifully scripted, what more can I say? xD
(Kage Shuriken no Jutsu) - Shadow Shuriken Technique
    Rank: D
    Type:Attack
    Range:Short-Mid
    Chakra Cost:15
    Damage Points:20
Description: Kage Shuriken no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing a giant Windmill Shuriken. When throwing the shuriken, the ninja will also throw a second giant shuriken to hide in the shadow of the first. The hidden secondary shuriken can then approach the target without their being aware.

Now, proceed to send out your chakra at my clone, binding him like ropes, immobilizing his entire body.

Re: The Way of The Ninja

I nod at you're appreciation as I channel out my chakra towards you're clone who is in short-range from me, to completely bind his body with my chakra. With my mastery over the elements, I utilize the chakra efficiently, creating an internal series of ropes that bind you're clone's legs, torso and the neck from movement. As I channel my chakra towards you're clone, I maintain a calm state of mind and making sure that the effectiveness of the technique remains intact

Effects on you're clone: If I did it perfect, you're clone is immobilized.

Alright, excellent job targeting the legs.
However, what other area of the body is also extremely vital to bound? If you bound the legs, they can't walk.......
