I need a new anime/manga series. Any suggestions?

Well Ive watched and read Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, Fairy Tail, D. Gray man, Soul Eater and DBZ. Ive also watched but havent read Hunter x Hunter and History's strongest Disciple Kenichi. I havent read them because they are just WAY too far behind the manga and I dont have enough patience to catch up :shrug: But Im looking for something else thats not too far behind its manga and that involves action. Does anyone have suggestions?

avoid the next ones like the plague:

silent mobius -looks like a cool all out alien demon battling anime, but it's mainly a non-sensical chick-flick styke crapfest with an awful ending as it never got a follow up series and a poor storyline which could have been so much more!

higurashi something or other... - the english translation is something about crying cicadas. ok some may say this is unfair but the story jumps were awful and completely confusing... like the film groundhog day but with lots of gore and no real explanation to what's happening.

tokyo mew mew. just weird and obviosly based on a female audience... that is all.
