I think Kishi made it clear that part 2 Konahamaru has the same potential as part 1 Naruto. Basically, if Naruto did not have Kyuubi, I think Kishi is telling us that eventually Naruto and Konahamaru would be equals, more or less.

Konohamaru is the 2nd coming of Sarutobi so it's definitely possible, but not for a long time.

Konohamaru is certainly strong and has potential to be a true rival for the seat of hokage of naruto.
but i dont think he'll surpass naruto...naruto is like the main character
well probably if naruto decides that the posotion of hokage is not for him n retires like 3rd hokage did for 4th hokage
