Same reason in many shonen ( from dbz to yu yu hakusho to inuyasha to many others ) where clothes would be blasted off, ripped to hell and back, and beyond. Creators not wanting a bunch of nekky fighters. These series are not pornos people.

thats exactly what im thinkin, they got rid of the kool jacket and left him with that attroucious orange suit, as you can see on the website forum banner

when did he use the scroll that was on his back? the new outfit was way better WITH THE SCROLL

yeah its a bit dum that only the jaket got burned atleast his normal jaket shoud have disaperad aswell with some of his pants riped and the shirt he uses under it should be burned on his arms.

I dont say we want to see him whole naked but atleast little signs of it to make it more realistic.
how come that is possible that his cloak and his skin is burnt but his regular clothes are not.
