[Spoilers] New commander?

Well, looks like my favourite captain Shunsui is ok! Also it seems he is rallying the other captains spirits. I am sure Shunsui will be the next captain commander!

I liked todays chapter and give it 8/10. What are your opinions?

Maybe, I hope not, Not because i like kenpachi more but because kenpachi as byakuya might aswell die.. And he kind of resembles kenpachi now with the eye-patch, Except ken's more badass. (Chapter was ok)

My thoughts exactly, originally I was leaning towards Ukitake but Kyoraku is the one who stepped up and put everyone in check. Ukitake just stood there looking sad

He is one of the oldest, Ukitakes body is too weak so he can’t and Byakuya, who could due to his family background, is in a coma as we all learned by now.
Byakuyas position can be taking over – at least for the time being- from Renji and Kenpachi’s from Ikkaku: they both have Bankai.

I believe Shunsui will be the next one. He looks tougher with his eye patch, he's the one who rallied the captains at the end. Ukitake and Unohana are the other two candidates. But ukitake is frail and unohana while undoubtedely a bad ass, is to vital to the 4th division and seems a bit to quiet.

Well all I know is they need someone to take charge and it looks like Shunsei is the man for the job...but I was a little disappointed he was defeated by a Sternritter, I am curious now though to see how Isshin plays into this.

Because nobody had died I guess and it was the world of the living that is probly not the royal guards jurisdiction.
And yes I meant Kirio would be a great way to bring in the royal guard.

Shunsui did seem to take the leadership role in this chapter, but I still think Unohana is better fit out of the characters we've been introduced to. Still totally possible it will be one of the Zero Squad members instead.

no.. based on kyoraku's character it is highly unlikely that he will become C.C. I guess it will be someone from squad 0 or
1) Isshin Kurosaki
2) Youruichi
3) kisuke urahara( probably the one who is most fit for the job)

You picked the 3 most unlikely lol. All of these were banished from SS due to breaking rules/traditions. Isshin married a quincy, Urahara had to leave because of his experimentation, and Youruichi followed him.

I'd prefer Unohana to take up the mantle and become Captain Commander since she seems most qualified. But on the other hand this could be one of those cases where the student successes the teacher. Besides the obvious fact that none of the Gotei 13 are anywhere close to Yamamoto in strength, Kyoraku definitely has the mentality and wisdom to be the leader of the Gotei 13, and at the end of the day that's what's most important and that's what the Gotei 13 needs right now.
