The Fourth Clone on Point 24, now with a raft, simply sets off towards Kumogakure.
The clone will arrive at the western bank when Kumogakure responds.
Remember; his chakra is suppressed and all his ninja equipment is discarded.

As Karin arrives at West Bank(see what I did there^ _^) she doesn't reveal herself to the anonymous rafter but creates a clone to stand short range from the bank(mid range from your clone and short range from her), causes a thick mist to form, hides one of the many small mountain and also causes rain to fall, allowing her to sense the unknown person as soon as he/she gets short range to the bank(Mid range from her clone and Long range from her).

the users senses. When the rain
is obstructed by a chakra
belonging to someone the existence of the target can be
detected. The rain will keep on
falling until the user uses the
seal to cancel it.

She does all this just to be certain who this person is. She couldn't sense his/her chakra and knows that he/she must be doing something to hide their chakra from her because even if the person is a civillian, she should be able to sense it.

As the "civillian" arrives, he/she should undoubtedly be suprised at the mist and rain. If he/she does nothing but look, Karin's clone would strafe to her left(Rafter's right) and then circle him/her and get behind and grab them and presses a kunai to his/her neck and ask the routine questions:
"I wouldn't even think twice about slitting your throat clean if you try something funny. Now I will ask you some questions and I want you to give give me clear and well thought out answers. Understood?"

Note:
-I said "even if the person is a civillian, she should be able to sense it" cuz I believe civillians have chakra but have never used it. There was a time when Hinata was using her byakugan's xray vision to look at a body, she admitted that the person was a civilian but had never drawn chakra. So what I'm saying is that since Karin cannot sense your chakra, it means you are a shinobi of some sort as you are able to conceal your chakra. Yes, the clone is meant to look like a civillian but the fact that his/her chakra can't be located makes Karin have her doubts and so she takes precautions as any ninja whose village is at war would do.
-Also, once you stop the Chakra Suppression, I'll sense your chakra and may be forced to attack as I being a chakra specialist(actually, my bio) would understand that you were using the Chakra Suppression technique. I believe Karin was the first to use it in the manga/anime?

(Chakra Yokuatsu no Jutsu) - Chakra Suppression Technique

Description: This ability allows the user to suppress their chakra to the point that it is completely undetectable. This makes it impossible for chakra sensory-type ninja to track them via their chakra signal. However there is some downside to the technique, whilst suppressing their chakra they cannot use any of the ninja skills.
Note: Cannot prevent doujutsu users from detecting them.

Your logic flawed, as it operates on the base that my chakra becomes non-existent, it also requires you to have the Byakugan or, at the very least, the Sharingan to notice.
Chakra is the mixture of two energies. If you read the manga, you'll note that one of the first things they learn in the Academy is to mold chakra. What Hinata noted was that all humans have chakra coils, the potential for chakra and, quite possibly, some traces of chakra, but has never molded or used chakra in any shape or form.
You've also failed to state where your 'intel' comes from, and why you, as a Shinobi, would leave a war to investigate a man on a raft. Nevertheless, let's continue.

She smelled like frustration and perfume.
Hawke didn't look up from his work; he had to make sure that the raft was moored properly. It wouldn't do to let his first work of carpentry float away. He did frown; it was unfortunate that he'd been discovered at this point.
Finally done, the Inuzuka nodded at his raft and pulled his woolen cloak closer to his body. It was a cold night out, and the Land of Lightning wasn't hospitable, but he had to get going. The course was set for Kumogakure.
Then the mist rolled in.
He didn't notice it at first; but when the rain came, Hawke had to resist the urge to put a palm to his face. Both Mist and Rain? How suspicious were these Lightning-folks? Merchants had to be a nightmare for paranoid people like that. He couldn't fall out of character, however, so he continued his stride forwards, right until he felt the bite of steel on his throat and the sound of harsh questions.
Young'uns without manners. Oh how he hated them.
Hawke had to resist the urge to snort in laughter; he easily stood at 2 meters and the girl probably needed to tip-toe to reach around his neck. Now was not the times for games, however, and Hawke firmly kept a look of absolute sbafflement on his face, and a hint of fear in his body-language. A bit of shaking, but ot too much.
"I-I understand!" He yelped in response, putting as much conviction and fear into his voice as he could. Maybe he could show this ***** a good time later on, when Kumogakure was a smoldering pile of ash in a heap of bones, shit and broken dreams.

Good question, why was he coming from the sea? Hawke didn't make the plan, his creator did. All Hawke did was follow orders.
The Inuzuka swallowed uncomfortably, wincing as his Adam's apple grazed the cold edge of the Kunai.
Damn. Why couldn't she have checked merchant caravans instead?
"I-Ichinose Taizo." Hawke frantically said, "I'm Ichinose Taizo! I haven't done anything, I swear!" Good stories were hard to come by. "I..." hesitation here. Theatrical. Tasteful. Convincing. "I couldn't stay! My ship crashed on an island below the Country of Peaches!" And now for the big finish. A single tear, a little more shaking. "I just wanted to start over..." Hollow voice, running nose. Pathetic, but convincing.

Hawke whiped the tears from his eyes with the back of his sleeve, mentally disgusted with himself. Why the hell was this ***** so interested anyway? What did she care about a stranded 'sailor'. No! Easy thoughts, gotta stay in character.
"Well, uh," Hawke sniffed, blood rising to his cheeks to give him an embarrased look, "it's more of a boat... a one-man one." Shaking his head with vigor, and a hint of mental impatience, Hawke passed the ball. "But attacker-san, what'll happen to me now?" He looked up, clearly eyeing her forehead-protector. "You're a Ninja, right? Do you know where I can find food and shelter for the night?"

[Naizen]

"A one man boat in the middle of such a vast sea....heading where if I may ask?"

As Taizo tries to look at her face, Miss K tilts his head forward, stopping his presumptious action.

"Don't bother about seeing my face. I don't want it to be the last you see . . . "*
her voice is stern and cold*

"You want food? Shelter and clothing? Wait here . . . "

Miss K takes no chances because as far as she was concerned, Taizo was still mysterious stranger. And seeing that her original had not shown up yet, she goes on as planned.

After her last speech, she generates a wall of lightning which shocks and paralyses Taizo.

As he falls to the ground, she says:
"Sorry Taizo . . . I can't just provide you with what you need without acting as instructed . . . Just stay calm . . . Don't force yourself . . . I'll be back in no time . . . "

( Raiton no Heki ) –

Miss K rolls Taizo forward to mid from the main Karin and hops off towards the village(arrives in 1 post). As Karin sees the flash of light, she counts to 3 and slams her hand on the ground, erecting a dome that begins to drain Taizo's chakra to a point where he wouldn't able to move.

causing it to rise up around his
opponent(s). Then, by placing his/ her hands against the dome, the
user is able to drain out the
chakra from the people trapped
inside and absorb it into their
own body. At the same time, the
user will use their own chakra to spread throughout the dome.
This allows the user to repair
any damage their opponent(s)
manage to inflict on the inside.

She is now waiting for Miss K.

As discussed in vms(like rational humans do), Zero's clone dies.

As Karin realises that she is no longer absorbing chakra, she stops sending her chakra into the dome allowing it to be weak so that she uses a single explosive kunai to bring it down.

Karin: What??? Shadow clone. I need to move quickly. This just wasted my time>.<

She activates her Chakra Sensing ability and immediately senses the unfarmiliar chakra of 3 ninjas(Ame nins) and the farmiliar chakra of 2 ninjas(Kumo nins). She moves with blazing speed towards the location.
