Liar Game

Psychological, Dramatic

The card reads as follows: Congratulations! You are one of the 1 in 100,000 people who has been entered in the amazing LIAR GAME TOURNAMENT! Along with the postcard there is 100 million yen in notes. That's the beginning of the Liar Game. When the game ends, in 30 days, you will have to return your 100 million. If your opponent steals them, he can keep them as a prize, and you will have a debt of 100 million...

Plot: 10/10 - The action quickly picks up starting from chapter 1. You may have to reread parts to fully digest the scope of this manga, but the upcoming action is quite worth it.

Characters: 9/10 - I would personally rate this 10/10, but I feel others would dislike Nao's character. The way the participants go about winning the games is probably what makes the manga so interesting.

Art: 8/10 - I do actually enjoy the art style although there are better ones out there. The page I showed is a good representation for its artwork (even though it gets better later on).

Overall Enjoyment: 10/10 - To this day I cannot find a manga that could give me the same value the Liar Game did for its genre type. While I still enjoy other manga like Monster, to me it's special in its own way. The only problem I see so far is that its target audience is fairly low - not everybody can get into this manga.

EDIT: I've read 5 chapters of Yu Yu Hakusho so far and it's not bad. I hope to find other good manga from this thread and maybe integrate anime as well.
