Madara failed, does that mean Naruto was stronger than expected?
Remember Madara stated he will do all he can to capture the Hachibi and Kyubi in time
Yet we know that he failed since the Juubi happened to came out even before he could do something
Does that mean Naruto was stronger than expected, so pushed Madara to his limits?

I don't think Naruto proved anything seeing how Madara deflected all of his attacks. Naruto just proved more difficult to defeat that's all. I also believe Madara was being full of himself with that statement, but he failed miserably so i can agree with that part.

Madara and FAIL should never be in the same sentence, unless it looks like THIS sentence.

Madara did fail at catching them both... If he's so strong he would have caught them already... Something fishy is going on.

Re: Madara failed, does that mean Naruto was stronger than expected?
Well, Madara admitted in latest chapter that he went all out and did all he could to capture them and failed. That means he consider that that Naruto and/or others was strong enough to compete even with him and his Edo modified version

"I had every intention to capture them before the Juubi revived"
He was not joking like against the Kages
