Why I switched from a Sasuke fanboy to an Itcahi fanboy!!

The reasons are quite simple, and infact I wonder how anyone can like Sasuke over Itachi! (except the fact that he is still alive)

I originally prefered Sasuke to all other characters because of his dark backstory and intense hatred and focus on His elder brother Itachi, (for no reason at all I connected with it) couple that with the fact that I always seem to like characters with a revenge story or attitude problem ie: Sasuke, Vegeta, Raphael, Batman so on and so fourth....but when you find out more of the truth to the Uchiha Bro's story I really started rooting for Itachi. I always like weeing Itachi in the manga and in the anime anyways He is the goat, but when you find out the truth the reasons I connected with Sasuke the backstory, the revenge, the calm coolness under pressure, the cool dojutsu... It is all there with Itachi only better I mean look at hidark backstory the pain that sasuke went through Im sure was real tuff, but can you imagine the pain that Itachi felt slaughtering his whole clan for the village that he loved and for the sake of his little brother!!! The fact that Itachi has been living with those dark secrets almost his entire life is crazy not to mention he knew he would die by his little bro's hand at some point, and look at all the power he delt out to Naruto and Sasuke so that they may be stronger when they meet thier enemies!! I would love to see a spin off of Itachi's life after the massacre and before the war and see things through his eyes, that would be awesome! Healthy Itachi>everyone else except Minato

I still enjoy Sasuke as a character in fact he is still one of my favs, but not THE fav anymore!! Sorry lord Sasuke when you find out the truth I may jump back on your wagon

I had the same outlook at the beginning of the series. I liked Sasuke because of the more "mature" attitude (compared to Naruto and Sakura) and because they focused so much of the plot on him at first. But now, after getting caught up on the manga, I definitely like Itachi a lot more. But at the same time, I can't help but feel like he should have gone about things a little differently. Just as an example, when he tells Sasuke that no matter what he does now that he will always love him. I realize that was more about Itachi finally being true to himself as the caring older brother, but his words have a huge impact on Sasuke. Itachi was one of those guys who put others before himself and because of that his little brother is now out to destroy what he dedicated his life to protect. I don't think Sasuke quite understands what a shinobi really is, unlike Itachi. So, I guess that's why he's reevaluating it now?

Well said my friend...Itachi is so much more complex than any other character besides maybe Obito now!! Sasuke knowing a lot more of the truth now just seems like a little brat still trying to make a name for himself when all he really has to do is rejoin team 7 and was some madara and Obito a$$ I hope when he finds out the whole truth he changes hs ways
