obito n kakashi not fighting to kill

to me it seems like obito and kakashi are not trying to kill one another

if obito could stab his chest with the giant shuriken and slash him to make the x scar,
didnt he have a chance both times to slice his throat or stab through his heart.

kakashi with chakra replenished dosent use chidori while catching obito by surprise in the dimension.

there are more examples.. its kind of ruining it for me
when obito runs up and knees kakashi in the face in 608 im like really a knee, i thought you want him dead
if you have time to knee him stick a kunai through his throat

im just sayin

Obito was just about to finish off Kakashi until Naruto jumped in.
Kakashi however doesnt want to kill Obito

I'll copy my post from an exactly the same thread:

Obito wanted to kill Kakashi, but make him suffer before that. That's why he first kicked and cut him and only then wanted to give a finishing blow, but Naruto saved him.

Kakashi on other hand doesn't want to kill Obito. He could have used Raikiri instead of a punch (but he still used a pretty strong punch, as it was enough to make Obito cough with blood right away).

Remember what Naruto said to Itachi? "I will protect the Leaf without killing Sasuke". Then in this chapter he said "Kakashi-sensei is just like me!".
Indeed, the same goes for Kakashi - he wants to protect Naruto but doesn't want to kill Obito.
