They admit his strength (I think the Tsuikage (old man)), but practically speaking they are looking for a leader. If Gaara's age affects his ability to lead, then that's no strike against Gaara himself.

You should edit and add the panel that indicates the notification of Gaara's strength; otherwise, this is misleading.

Gaara is basically a child. He basically got the title of kazekage because of Shukaku's power. We know that he deserves the title of kazekage, but maybe the other kage's look down on him because of his inexperience in the job and at life in general.

Well compared to Minato, who at jonin had a flee on sight issue ordered on him and was vital in the 3rd Ninja war, it understandable if his reputation and experience isn't right up there I guess. Gaara might surprise and impress the other Kages in the next few chapters. What I find that's funny is that the Raikage hasn't pointed out Danzou participation in the destruction of Konoha invasion and questioned his ability to lead after the village almost got destroyed.

As far as things go, if Naruto became the Hokage right now, or maybe a little earlier, he'd suffer the same doubts from the others (maybe if he'd become Hokage before the Pain fight for some reason, that's sure to earn him respect).

Gaara and Naruto can draw some pretty big parallels in the way they defended Konoha and Suna, their (Gaara's former) bijuu, their age, their aspirations. I agree that Gaara was placed in the position of power, due to Shukaku. The manga states as much. Now though, I believe all of Suna respect him, for defending them all from a powerful foe, and coming back to life to continue leading them. He has the whole village behind him, the same way Naruto does.

That said; Gaara didn't really have a childhood. The cold, emotionless one he endured, surely caused him to grow up a lot faster than Naruto. They're certainly the future of the ninja world, it'll just take time for the older generation to accept it.

This made me consider the theme of bonds in the series, and how Sasuke was the first one Naruto made. Would it be accurate to say Naruto is the first one Gaara made? Thinking back to how hard Naruto fought to get him back from Deidara, I think I realised just how deep their bond goes. Would Gaara have done the same? Honestly, I think he would have.

I can see the ties between Konoha, Suna and Kumo going very deep in the future.
Yes, Kumo too. I think Kishi's going for a similar thing to the way the Leaf and Sand became close allies again. Start off by having them show apparent hostility, and then have them help each other out.
What about Kiri? Maybe.

at the meeting, the most experienced guys are danzo and tsuchikage
the experience came by age,
they underestimated Gaara because he is so young, so he is unexperienced, i think garaa is still as powerful as before.

I think what you say about Naruto's bond with Gaara to be pretty much spot on Sasuke and Naruto had more of a rivalry then a real bond. I think in the end of the series if they actually make peace (which I expect them to) it will be the oldest bond as it origins before Gaara got into the picture but I wouldn't call it the first.

What you say about Konaha and Suna is also true but it doesn't stop there. All the fillers in Part 1 seemed trivial to the actual story, but giving it another thought all the minor missions he did will become important to him when it's time to rise as a Hokage. He's made himself reknown with many, risked his life helping feudal lords, getting ties with people everywhere. It will be more valuable then what it seemed to be at first. Naruto helped people rather then completing missions

they arn't hating. its just hes uber young... i think fourth lord of the leaf's was in his late 30's which is still young but garaa is half that... like 16 years old... he was ONLY GIVEN THE TITLE of kazekage because the villiage elders wanted to be able to keep an eye on garaa and keep him in the villiage... at this point he was still used as a tool... but after deidara attack the villiage trying to get the jinjuriki he PROOVED himself as a great kage by sacrificing his life for the villiage which my friends, is the greatest honor for a shinobi to achiev! then when chyio gave her own life for the kazekage after narutos words of concern and kindness the villiage as a hole accepted him as kazekage if they didnt already!

summary: just a tool of the villiage but then proved he could walk on his two legs with ease. villiage elders accept him truly
