I just noticed something strange.

Well, simply put...Sasuke, back when Naruto and co found him hanging out at Orochimaru's,
Sasuke used his normal sharingan to supress the kyuubi's chakra, so Naruto was unable to go bijuu mode, right?

Then why is it, that someone who mastered and tamed the kyuubi, Madara, did not come to the wonderfull idea of just doing exactly that on a more powerfull scale with his EMS/rinnegan.
He is a far more skilled doujutsu user than Sasuke could ever be, and I don't see how Naruto would be able to defend to something like that.
Seems a bit more effective than firing a wood dragon if you ask me.

This would effectively cut down Naruto's entire power.

I bet it is plot, but any theories would be welcome.

Not a theory. Truth is naruto wasn't a perfect jinchuriki back then, now he is.

Sasuke's sharingan genjutsu is now rendered useless.

It's a good question but I think the answer is simply that Naruto has perfect control over Kyuubi now so not even Madara
is able to manipulate kyuubi when he's with Naruto

I don't see how that would help, since Madara's power is vastly superior to Sasuke's, and don't see how he could not just go into Naruto's mind and surpress the kyuubi there.
Now naruto might be able to do more than just stand by and watch like he did with Sasuke, but I'd say Madara overwhelms Naruto vastly as well.

Another reason could be.that it must be done before Kurama's power is being utilized, and it's too late now for that particular method, assuming Madara can do it the.way Sasuke.did.

It's tricky, no doubt. but think of it this way, Sasuke didn't suppress the kyubi per-say he more suppressed his chakra. Which is exactly what the genjutsu allows you to do, suppress the users chakra and force your own will into being their reality.

We already know this is possible even if the victim has much greater chakra reserves than the caster (i.e. obito, and madara with the kyubi. And more recently itachi (alive) With part one naruto)

It helps that he is perfect, now because they are working together, no doubt madara would over-whelm naruto into a genjutsu, it's just kurama would snap him out of it as quickly as it started.

This is a summoning jutsu, wich is'nt at all what I meant.
And honestly, I doubt its because he has a bond with Naruto now, I don't see how being friends would make someone just supressing the other stop.
Especially when the one surpressing is more powerfull than both combined.

Madara tried.to summon it there, not suppress it. Not the same.thing we're talking about. I think Madara couldn't summon Kurama because it was sealed withinNaruto, not because of Naruto's control.

This is a question that we may never get a answer to.

If we were to assume that it could be done because sasuke showed us it could be done, then we could thus assume that madara would never suppress the kyubbi. Kishi would use plit no jutsu because it would be even easier for madara to beat naruto. Kishi doesn't want to make it to easy for madara.

Simple, its probably still possible, just that Madara would need to take and put both Kurama and Naruto under a genjutsu or control them both at the same time. If Kurama is put under a genjutsu then Naruto will wake him from it a wise versa...

Actually, get out from a gen-justu is easy if u have more people around... Just disturb your chakra flow with another persons chakra means let someone give you his/her chakara to your chakara flow... So u know, 9 and the naruto are in the same body, its easy for them. So Madara knows its not goin to work for them to get them in a gen-jutsu just like Sasuke failed to take Bee in a Gen-jutsu and this let his chest broken, remember??? No single wasted move is important for a shinobi and it will only lend you to waste of your chakara...

Madara tamed the old kyuubi which is pure animal, no motivation and no direction, now that he's befriended naruto and having a little conscience, it is like taming sumone's beast, its like stealing other ppl's lion pet and try to make it ur own.

ok let me say this again..sasuke for one was super close....for 2 he surpressed the weakest chakra mode naruto uses...

below is a list in order of the various modes naruto used


1st is just red eyes
2nd is orange aura
3rd is 1 tail
4th is 2-3 tail
5th is 4-9 tailed
6th is narutos plus eyes
7th is km
8th is bm



sasuke only surpressed the first version....bijuu mode and km are impossible to surpress because km is kurama chakra stored else where and has been seperated from kurama......bijuu mode is a fusion of narutos and kuramas chakra, while fully controlled by naruto....naruto in cloak form the cloak was controlled by kurama while naruto used the power...
