Haven't played it yet, too busy with work. But from what i've seen, it met my expectations before it was released at E3. Also, Call of Duty got repetitive. And besides, best seller doesn't mean best game.... Since i'm ranting, Halo is realer if you think about it. In our time, we don't have HUD, see through wall scopes (thermal reads heat signatures), Giant mechs,and other things.

Your calling COD a real game??

Why is it online, you mainly have arguments with 10-13 year olds, i know why because their parents by them the game mainly every xmas.

Why is it that, if your over 20 and you need a real game, Swearing on BOPS2 gets you a 48 hour ban / Racism gets you a perm ban, so in my eyes they've taken the manlyhood out of the entire game, apart from racism because Racism is just not nice. on top of that, COD never change their graphics, where as halo have a huge influence on how their game looks. rightly so your stating your opinion and i have no problem with that. Freedom of speech, so if you like COD you like COD, and if i like halo, i like halo.

And personal experience with cod is MW2, i just fount it boring and braindead. But yeh mainly Ragers / Controller warriors - like to swear on COD and be racist, in my eyes they shouldn't be allowed on the game in the first place :/

I like both. As a Franchise, Halo meets my expectations where as COD doesn't always deliver. MW3 for example. On Campaign, Black ops 2 beats out Halo 4 only because of the the actions you choose can effect rest of the game. Halo 4 has a better in multiplayer (need I mention Grifball).

But wait...

this is a thread a about Halo 4. Yes it is a great game. The visuals and the music during gameplay is spectacular. Spartan ops where you play as a Spartan-IV. Survive the Flood and Grifball on multi-player. Yes I am a biased because I absolutely love the Halo-universe. From the books and so on. And like I said earlier, the game did not disappoint. With the new weapons and the new enemy. Flying the Pelican was cool.

I am also over 20.

Halo 4 had some awesome graphics.
& the Cortana/Cheif relationship made a nice change to the past halo game. It added some depth to the story.

but other than that, it didnt have the same feel as past Halo games.
There is a few minor things that you could change, and nobody would even know it was set in the Halo universe. Because it had massively drifted away from the storyline from past halo games. Seems pointless calling a game "HALO", if it is no longer about the Halo Rings? (Yes, i know they make a 10 second appearance, but still pointless cos they had no effect on the story)

Meh. My rating - 6.5/10 at best. Going to stick to Black Ops 2, until i find something better

It still is about Halo rings. The story now goes more in depth with the forerunners. The creators of the Halo rings or arrays. If you read Ghost of Onyx or Halo: Glasslands, you get a little insight on the Rings, shield worlds, the flood, covenant elites etc. The literature written for the Halo series is awesome and fits perfect with the games itself. Reading about the Halo universe adds to the gameplay because I feel part of the story and not just watching it. The books cover what the games don't.

The idea of a game is to "play the game", obviously. The books have nothing to do with this. 99% of people who play the game wont read the books. If you want to dive deeper into the story, then fine. But the idea of Halo 4 isnt to read the book before-hand to understand it better. I have never read 1 Halo book, but still understand the story perfectly fine...

The Halo Games 1-3, all centered around the halo rings. (either trying to stop them blowing up, finding out what they do, or been on a ring itself.) Halo 4 is centered around the forerunners. Nothing to do with the rings.
Yes, they built the rings. Yes, you see one of the rings. Yes, the rings get mentioned.
But as far as they make an impact on the story of H4 - Nothing.
