we don't know for sure if tobi is really madara.. even though kisame said his name was madara, tobi may have lied to kisame from the start. so thus we don't know if madara is really immortal.

oh yes!!! very good point!!! he may have said it cz everyone has to do something for living long.Like kakazu taking hearts,HIdan praying to his god jashin and giving sacrifice but don't knw abt madara!!!!

Well Hidan isn't immortal, immortality would be completely unable to die with no exceptions, Hidan has to continue killing people (and I think he has to kill them with the Jashin technique), and as for Madara, well we don't know enough of him to say yet. Maybe he is immortal, just because Kakuzu said it doesn't mean it's 100% correct. But I know for a fact that Hidan isn't truly immortal, but we don't know if Madara has an exception. It could be as simple as he could only die by being killed (stabbed in the heart, decapitated, etc.), and he simply can't die of old age. But we know pretty much nothing on Madara, we've only seen his face in flashbacks, everything else pretty much consists of speculation with a few exceptions. Originally Posted by UnknowNinjaName

Or he might have just been meddling with life-extending jutsu and such.
Nothing to suggest he's immortal.
People have just confused the "Eternal" in EMS as Immortality a lot these days.
All the word Eternal means, in that context, is that you don't lose it when your eyesight goes.

all characters that appear immortal have some trick to it obviously, didn't check if this was said.. not everyone can breathe fire, not everyone can split themselves in 2 like zetzu.. there's always a trick to these people as it's all techniques.. madara will get the biggest of asskicks later, it's what you can expect from the greatest antagonist once someone figure out his secret
think again, how much do we really know about madara.. it's not much I can tell you
