Why can't Kakashi predict movements with sharingan ?
Every time Kakashi fights , it seems like he gets hit in taijutsu a lot. For example he got hit against obito over and over and took an epic
Flying knee to the face . He's also been hit other times in the war and even got hit from
Zabyza . Kakuzu and hidan managed to hit him as well. Doesn't his sharingan allow for
Prediction ?

Sharingan helps, but it doesn't do miracles, especially when his opponents outclass him in skills.

Re: Why can't Kakashi predict movements with sharingan ?
Against Obito he was already depleted stamina wise, so even if he could see, couldn't really dodge. Also, some ninja are just too fast to dodge and some moves are "un-dodge-able" as well . There'd be no point in taijutsu at all if the Sharingan could predict everything .

Re: Why can't Kakashi predict movements with sharingan ?
Perhaps Kakashi is capable of predicting movements, but he may be too slow/unable to react (for example, if he is incapacitated or low on chakra) or the movement may be too fast.
On the other hand, because he is not an Uchiha, he may not be able to utilize the Sharingan's predictive sight to it's fullest ability.

He needs two eyes to fully unleash all of the sharingan ocular powers.

Re: Why can't Kakashi predict movements with sharingan ?
in this particular situation, i believe that kakashi wasn't fighting back as he was thinking of the past and was suffering from the trauma of having to fight his friend who he fought died year's ago....
However it does help him, just doesn't exactly mean he will never get hit.

Re: Why can't Kakashi predict movements with sharingan ?
What they said. Sharingan doesn't mean you cannot get hit at all with taijutsu. It just allows you to avoid/counter some straightforward attacks.
And if you speak specifically of Kakashi getting beaten by Obito, then:
1) He was exhausted already.
2) He was overwhelmed with emotions.
It had nothing to do with a Sharingan.

Because he is tired and has taken lots of dmg. He can keep up with sharingan but not with his body

Re: Why can't Kakashi predict movements with sharingan ?
Kakashi only has one sharingan so his ability to predict movements and attacks is less than that of someone with two sharingan like Sasuke or Itachi. Also Rock Lee and Killer Bee showed us that if an attack is too fast for the victim's body to react to or if an attack is unpredictable, the user won't be able to evade the attack.
Either that or maybe Kakashi is just not as good as some people make him out to be.

That's speculation. Nothing in the manga ever indicated such a thing. Does it mean that Danzo has the prediction skill developed ten times better than Itachi or Sasuke? I doubt it.

One eye or not isn't really important. It's how you use that/those eyes which is really important. Even with one Sharingan, Itachi acknowledged the fact that he is more skilled with it than most Uchihas. Even in latest chapter, Obito again acknowledged that fact. I can just tell you to remember the first fight against Zabuza, after it's up to you to believe it or not. Anyway even in the latest chapter he has shown his sharingan precognition when he managed to counter Obito with his Raikiri thanks to Sharingan precognition, what he even recognised later

Re: Why can't Kakashi predict movements with sharingan ?
It's probably because he has no depth perseption from closing one eye. Bah dum tiss.
Haha OP the attack he failed to dodge by Obito with the shuriken and the knee to the face may have been a result of exhaustion. And the attack from Zabuza was probably deliberately taken but whose to say.

It still allows him to predict attacks. Take this for example:

Sharingan lets you see what your opponent will do but your body movements need to be fast enough to react.

Re: Why can't Kakashi predict movements with sharingan ?
I'm not sure Kishimoto had intended either for Kakashi to be as strong as he eventually became, or for the Sharingan to have SO MANY POWERS during the Wave Mission.
