Re: Couple O' Avatars [Dump]
Regarding the first one, you shouldn't have used so much shadowing, it lacks contrast, blending and exposure. Also, that light source should've been put on another spot or perhaps not even used. Without a decent border, I find it not completed.
Regarding the second one, there's also a problem with shadowing and as far I can see you've duplicated the render and used it as a background (?). If that's really the matter, you should've used some blur on it, and duplicate it one more time then put it above the original render with some decreased opacity (would look better). Watch some tutorials on how to make signatures, you can find tons of useful tips which you can use on your avatars. Furthermore, I find those scanlines unappealing because avatar's already too dark even without them. Put some border, for God's sake.
Third one looks the best but it's got high exposure and text looks bad. Scanlines are also not neccessary on this one. No border.

You're right, completely forgot about he border. But for everything else you predicted you're wrong >_> and I went for what I wanted on the second one, just missed the border, and for the third the text is only there for a watermark.

All I've predicted was background on the second one. Everything else were just advices. Watermark or not, it's still a bad spot. Keep it up!
