Sorry, but that sussano was reduced to V1, because of Kirin. Itachi stabilized it back to its form again which has Yata mirror by the way.
Well that unimpressive combo explains why the Kirin is so pansy. There's no proof Itachi had time to manifest his entire Susano'o, in fact as it is EXTREMELY taxing for him, expecting anything more than V1 seems like a foolish decision. Wouldn't the Yata Mirror absorb the ENTIRE thing anyway if he managed to block it in time?
Why would he be noticeably worn after the Kirin in that case (as in, clothes ruined a bit, not more tired).
Seriously, you think that the ENTIRE potential energy of a lightning bolt is expended in the impact with the ground?
Pardon ME if your real-world knowledge seems less than stellar.

Show me a proof where real world lightening bolt strike has taken out an entire mountain top. I don't know where you are even getting this from. It does raise the temperature where it strikes - depending about how less the lightening branched or forked while coming down- to turn silica into glass, but even that is a variable figure. Not all bolts strike at the same speed, nor all of them produce the same effect. I have never even heard of a lightening bolt obliterating a mountain top. What the hell? An electrical discharge in your opinion takes out a mountain top? Because that's exactly what lightening is; flow of current.
He said his sussano was the reason why he survived, and he stabilized it back a second later. Stop being so one-sided.

Isn't the entire POINT of Kirin that it's CONTROLLED and thus acts DIFFERENTLY than a "real world lightning bolt"?
I am getting this from actual physical knowledge amassed by people smarter than myself about the actual energy content of your average lightning bolt.
Did he say he survived "because of my complete Susano'o"? Evidence suggests not, as he definitely didn't use the Yata Mirror.

Re: Who was the best lightning release (raiton) user?
And I have studied metrology, and I'm telling you this stuff you said blew my brains out. Lightening cannot obliterated anything on this level in real life.
Didn't use Yata mirror? It's a part of his sussano. You're losing more and more credibility as you post. Anyways, believe what you want. This is becoming quite the chore now.

Are we talking about real life? Or are we talking about someone harnessing the full potential power of a lightning-strike in a fictional world?
So, the Yata Mirror was insufficient to block Kirin?
EDIT: Seems like no response is forthcoming.

Re: Who was the best lightning release (raiton) user?
versatility goes to sasuke IMO
but over all mastery of raiton would probably go to 3rd raikage.
also Kirin never even destroyed the mountain that sasuke and itachi were standing on...
and that wasnt a full armor sussano that karin got through to.

Personally, I think he died trying to fight Kinkaku and Ginkaku. It was Tobirama and Second Raikage vs Kinkaku and Ginkaku, then it seems Team Kage scraped a win but Raikage died in the process and Tobirama was pushed to the limit but managed to survived. Based on that idea, I'd say Tobirama's a bit more powerful but I'd say that anyway.

But look at the Second Raikage's facial expression. He must have been unbeatable. He died of natural causes, of course!

Watch Omoi become the next Raikage, just because of that.

Sadly, there were no pictures of the Shodai Raikage. But from the trend, he's probably even more beast than the Nidaime Raikage.
