He was much better with the mask then he was without. I don't know, he might be a little insecure. Seeing Kakashi for the first time. Dealing with Naruto and his annoying speech patterns. Listening to Guy and his boasting about youth. No wonder he did not come back. He would go crazy.

Obito is the shy type. That's why he's always talking about trash. Can't come up with anything. Obito needs to say. He is ugly, and proud.
His mask was made with materials suited for war. And it was sturdy as hell. So he can go at it without any worries. His real power is in the mask!

Remember how he talked about a name having power, and he seemed at his strongest when everyone thot he was Madara. When he had to admit he wasn't Madara that's when he started getting weaker.

The way i look at it was the fact he never showed that great of feat's in a fight were he couldn't use his Kumai, infact i don't think we have ever seen him fighting without kumai.
I've always said he was overrated and i was right, he's actually not that good in a sense. Don't get me wrong a mean he's up their with the best of them because he's untouchable to most of the Ninja's in naruto, You take that away from him and kakashi would wipe the floor with him like he always has.

The real difference is that Kakashi was able to figure out the idea of Obito's S/T ninjutsu. Obito was just messing around with Kakashi in chapter 608, and only tried dealing the finishing blow at the near end of the chapter.
