I think with the 4 trigrem seal minato can also separate the juubi into differnt forms like the sage of six path minto was able to cut kurama's chakra into half took one part and the other gave to naruto(kurama)

I love Minato, he's my favorite character in the entire series, but I think perhaps your overestimating his abilities just a tad bit. He had to use RDS to seal Kurama's remaining chakra because it was so huge. The Juubi the collection of all the tailed beasts, I'm not sure he could actually pull it off.
