I have to give props to Noddy. He made some excellent arguments concerning the validity of Hiruzen's hype in comparison to Hashirama's hype. With what he has said, you can not deny that it comes down to what we know each character is capable of; as Hiruzen's best friend and strongest asset (hype) has been proven untrustworthy by Noddy.
