They won't die, here is my reason why I think they'll live.

1:
akashi has already died once in this series, I don't think he'll die again.

2:
Gai is Kakashis best friend (basically), I doubt they'd make him loose yet another person he cares for.

3:
Kakashi and Gai are like an inseparable pair when it comes down to war. If they kill one, they have to kill the other and I highly doubt that Kishi would do such a thing since he has already handed his series a rope and pointed it in direction of a tree.

Kakashi isn't going to die, i think he lives and Tsunade is going to appoint him Hokage but offers the job to Naruto just like Jiraiya did.
and i think tsunade will accept that offer. if anything Guy won't die because i can picture him preaching to kids as an old man about being a youth etc.

i don't think Kakashi will die but i have a feeling Gai will die. The 5 kage couldn't beat Madara and only Gai have the power to beat the 5 Kage with the 8th gate open. plus in the last chapter i think they try to give us a hint when they said only physical attack can kill Madara. so we might see Maito Gai last jutsu and die after as a hero
