Senju, Senjutsu and sage mode

The manipulation of natural energy is called Senjutsu which allows sage mode.

Idk if anybody noticed but Senju and Senjutsu are spelled almost the same.
To me this could either be two possibilities.

1 the senju clan was adept at Senjutsu and was named after it.
senjutsu and the senju clan have more than just a name that is similar.

The senju clan is descendent of the sages younger son.
Having inherited the sages body he was probably capable of sage mode.
Due to him and his descendents being adept in Senjutsu they were name the Senju clan of the forest. (forest having to due with nature)


Or two it could just be a coincidence and im just over thinking things.

That's probably a coincidence, but I think the main word is "Sen" not "Senju", but I like that Idea.

It wouldn't be unlikely that they were the progenitors of Senjutsu... Especially with Hashi whould unleash powerful jutsu's without handseals.

There's no proof yet of there being a slug sage mode yet. And who's to say that there are only three types of animal sages. You never know with Kishi.

, just because of the rikodou senin was a sage, probably doesn't mean that was passed down to his decendants.

there's a crap load of sage modes, toad and dragon sage. there might be more undiscovered one. dog sage? beast sage?

but rikodou sage coulda been some other sage.

Having powerful chakra is a requirement for Sage Mode, so both those aligned with the elder AND the younger brother are CAPABLE of Senjutsu. However, it seems like only those aligned with the younger actually USE Senjutsu.
