Did Kishimoto mess up?

So in the most recent chapter, we see Kakashi has mysteriously learned to use his Kamui eye in a new fashion.

As you can see in the scans above, Kakashi uses his Kamui eye to absorb Bee and the Hachibi, much like Obito does. As we know, Kakashi has only been able to use his Kamui as a long range attack, and we all assumed that what was separated his Kamui from Obito's; Obito's was internal Kamui, and his was external Kamui.

As we see in the scans above, Kishimoto has disproved this. It seems Kakashi can use his Kamui as a long range attack, and he can use it EXACTLY like Obito does. This makes him extremely dangerous now. It can now effectively be said that Kakashi has a huge chance of being able to use his Kamui as a S/T transportation technique like Obito does; because he now uses his Kamui exactly like Obito. On top of being able to do what Obito can do, Kakashi can still use his Kamui long range, making his Kamui better than Obito's in theory.

This is all interesting, but I want to know is if Kishimoto did this intentionally for the sake of the plot (getting Bee/Hachibi close to the Juubi with that badass combo they did) or if Kishimoto just forgot Kakashi couldn't use internal Kamui like Obito does.

Whether it was intentional or not, Kakashi is now an even bigger badass than he was before.

I am not just talking about using Kamui in close range. I am talking about using the internal Kamui; literally absorbing something with his eye. Kakashi up to this point has used his kamui by making a "warp zone" around his target and absorbing it that way. He has now shown us that he can directly absorb things into his eye, like Obito does.

He was probably forced into a corner and found a new power hidden within the eye of Obito. Obito knowing how to use this power already, shows it was possible but it fully disregards the fact the left and right eyes have different techs.

He didn't know he could do that with Kamui until he learned that Obito was also using Kamui. So he just copied what Obito did, after being sucked in by Obito and it worked.. So now he knows he can transport stuff in and out with Kamui

his left eye is normal, not affected directly to any chakra usage unlike his sharingan eyes, the potential of his sharingan by far, and not limited to, kamui. So, my suggestion is maybe the borrowed eye react differently to any additional chakra. And that is not the case for Obito, as he already awaken any potential he got with his rinnegan and his original sharingan.

There is no "Internal" and "External" Kumui.

They do the same thing - the only difference is that Kakashi has used it on long range, and not brought back the stuff he moved to the other dimension. Now the reason for this simply is that he didn't know how to! He didn't know he could bring the stuff back untill he met Obito and saw how he used Kumui in a different manner.

I have to agree that we are seeing him do things with it we've never seen before and I think part of it was the PNJ to not reveal who Tobi was (Kakashi sucking things into his eye would've been a dead give away). Perhaps we are getting a taste of the old Kakashi the copy Ninja who apparently now has 1001 jutsu's

Personally I don't think Kishi messed up to me it's more or less Kakashi has figured out how to use Kamui in a completely different manner which is superior to the one in which he was originally using it much like when Naruto actually learned that Kage bunshin had more use and could be used to gain experience to help formulate plans etc similar principal in my humble opinion.

Kakashi could probably do this since the beginning of part 2. He just used a reversed Kamui.

But what would be the point in using a reversed Kamui back then?

The only strange thing is that it seems like Kakashi never tried absorbing a bunshin with Kamui, just to see what would happen to it. But perhaps he already thought of this, he just didn't know if he could use kamui from the other dimension, if his clone would be too weak to do it.

Now that he knows it is a different story. Cause no one would "test" this on yourself...


The how did he know, where to create a reversed kamui for Bee? Naruto simply tossed all 3 of them. This way they all would have the same speed and direction, so Kakashi could easy figure, where and when to reverse the kamui.

Another possibility is that he just used a normal kamui, and realized that his kamui is actually a 2-way door, which absorbs depending on which side of the door, you are on. And Obitos is a 2 way as well, it's just controllable throughout his body, which part of the world, he wants to be in.

I'm guessing Kakashi analysed it with his sharingan and recreated the move Obito did...It seems like a possibility.
