Football (soccer for americans) vs American football (hand-egg)
I think soccer is better.
I like watching soccer more, to me it's more exciting. Also there's a lot more action and physical skill involved. I get bored very fast watching American Football.
Which do you think is better and why?
Re: Football (soccer for americans) vs American football (hand-egg)
to each his own but are you out of your mind? compare how many times a soccer game ends 0-0 and how many times football games do? more physical skill? compare the skinny string bean frames of a soccer player to the built powerhouse of an NFL running back or linebacker. soccer to me is the most boring thing in the world. I'd celebrate a lot after a score too if I knew that that was most likely the only time anyone will score all game
Re: Football (soccer for americans) vs American football (hand-egg)
LMAO hand egg? I never heard that one before. That's a good one. :lmao:
Soccer isn't even comparable to Football, in terms of physicalness.
I had a teacher in High school who was a huge Real Madrid fan, and he would very often have us watch their games after he finished teaching us the lesson. I couldn't even bare watching it for more then a few minutes, and eventually i just put my head down and slept instead. I don't see the the amazement in kicking a ball back in forth, waiting forever for someone to actually score. But to each is own.
With that being said, there is only 2 sports I enjoy watching, and that is Basketball and Hand Egg (LMAO).

I like football more, american football has guys hitting each other, but the skills required to play football makes it beautiful, all the dribles, the shots, the free kicks its just amazing.
Re: Football (soccer for americans) vs American football (hand-egg)
I like English football better. American football reminds me of rugby so I can't stand it.
How many people like American football outside of America anyway?
English football has fans all over the world.
Just my opinion

Football, sure! If you want to be a good player you should have talent. Football is a really exciting. And something special in Football is that an outsider is always able to beat a champion. About you HandBall fans, Football has different results, not only 0-0. There are also 10-0, 5-3, 2-1, 4-1, 6-2, 2-0, 3-0 etc results. If you watch the whole game of an exciting football mach, you can easily see what it takes to win a football match.
Handball, is just so vulgarian. When the match is on, it looks like the players are fighting with each other...Pretty much sucks.

It's different skill sets are used. It's an apples to oranges comparison. But being culturally biased I like American Football better. It's not just running, hitting, throwing. There's a strategy involved. What play to break down the defense. Which formation to stop the offense. And if you have the perfect play, there's that factor of an outstanding player that can make your plans seem worthless. Apart from athleticism, it's coaches choosing plays, players calling audibles.

yes who can forget those 1% of the games of soccer in which a team scores more then 3 points. You have to be more athletic, faster, more physical, and smarter to play football. Its a grown mans sport really I wouldnt expect soccer players to understand

Grown mans' sport? More like for primitive men. The way an American football match starts, it looks like gorillas from Disney's Tarzan are hugging themselves.

You guys clearly haven't seen how football could become more brutal....
Apparently shin guards arent protection ¬_¬
Regardless, both versions are "real" football. Football is a term that varies from region to region. Football could mean American Football, Association football, Gaelic Football, Australian football, each with thier own scoring and rules. Amerian football originated from Association football, then adapted rugby rules, and over time evolved into what it is now. The word "soccer" is derived from an abbreviation (Assoc. ) from "football association" and was originated in England.
I prefer American football because America (historically) hasnt had a strong Association football league, compared to the rest of the world, so it never received to popularity (again, in America) as American football. I've played both sports and find them both fun in different ways.
