My honest opinion is that by retreating it's like you're apologising. I think DaVinci was the one who said he'd never apologise for his art. So, since you know and you've showed that you're not stealing, why are you taking it so personal?

As for not being enough appreciated in the contest, as the others already stated the sad reality, this is an anime forum, not an art one. Even though people may take a liking to your drawings in the FanArt section, when it comes to choosing between that and an anime drawing that they're all familiar with, the anime drawing comes first.

Tbh, in the society we live in, you need some marketing skills if you want to make yourself noticed. You need to observe what the "customer" wants to see, what does he like and give it to him. It's a matter of flexibility.

Man..i'll say, use ur both ears...dont listen to what someone say bad about ur art work, if you believe ya can draw great, thats it, ya dont need witnesses, thats enough for you....at least thats what i think!!!

art is something u enjoy doing regardless of what others think about it zell. Just be yourself and things will fall into place. im here for you 110%.

Why are you making people on the internet get to you like that? All that matters is that you did your best. You're taking this thing way too seriously.

Well, its wasnt that they were critisizing me work, because critisizim in art is inevitable and Im really used to critisizm. Its just that some people think I come off as arrogant, but Im actually not. Im actually extreamly humble when I comes to art.

So who cares what others think of? You should only be interested in what people you care about think about you, not every other random. But then again, the people you care about should be the ones who care about you as well, thus knowing you well enough to do so and not misunderstanding you.

You shouldn't drop out for that reason.I don't really vote for people that is basically a copy cat of someone else character.
I mean sure,if you can draw naruto great,but its not unique. Not your style,that you put your heart into making up a charater.

If you can make up a new character that is unique to your style and not someone else then I might vote for it :D Just not what I already see from anime shows (someone else characters).

Though,don't follow in the shadows of someone else doing,you should continue to be true to your self and draw what you like not what others want to see.
