That's because they joined the base earlier and the contest is not about the number of medals, its about the art OF THIS MONTH hence the title ART OF THE MONTH contest. . LOL
Don't get discourage, every month there's a BRAND NEW chance of winning :D

Its not the character which matters, its the quality you bring in.
If you draw madara or kimimaru randomly in low quality it still wont get votes.
If you draw even sakura or ten ten, and bring excellent quality, you have chances of getting votes..

So bring quality, not OP characters.

You can never tell when you're going to win a contest, and some people who I think need a medal don't have them. For example, Zack Blade should have 2 in my opinion.
