This is a manga with friendship as the central theme along with not giving up. Of course there aren't any significant deaths and of course the SA will win.

Well the world is ****ed up like that and full of hatred as long as the Ninja System exists, this got stated more than once.
So... why not just let Madara crush every single Ninja there is, then commit suicide and have a world full of ponys, rainbows and love?

They're just standing there in the open against a enormous killing machine with no fortification at all. What are the odds that they survive? Pretty damn big if we're going by the rest of this arc's standards. It'll just get ridiculous if the army can overpower the Juubi so easily.

Oh, and if by some miracle the bad guys actually pull it off, I hope there isn't a cop out of revive-planet-jutsu from the 10 tails when Obito comes around. Blegh, I hope I'm wrong but this arc has been so predictable already.

Fun chapter was fun. Finally someone died. It's a start but they really have to start the bloodbath now if they want us to really feel like this is a real war.
