Re: Jiraiya: The Most Powerful Sannin
^ That is called a strategic retreat. By the time Jiriya summoned his toad, the effects of drug were mostly gone or completely gone. A completely incapacitated man STILL fled.

Re: Jiraiya: The Most Powerful Sannin
I think Mark proved it with the 3rd Databook link. Jiraiya had the greatest overall score.

A strategic retreat still doesn't determine strength. In no way shape or form. In fact by definition, a strategic retreat requires an enemy know they are know at any advantage in the fight and would benefit moreso from retreating than trying to fight. Which would suggest his strength was lesser. Do you have any evidence that the poison had worn off considering it affected him throughout the night, morning, and the fight, and it all of a sudden goes a way mid battle when he couldn't even summon a toad a the beginning?

You think he was 'still' under the effects of poison when he summoned his giant toad and fought along side it, when in the start of the battle that poison inhibited his summoning? Keep telling yourself that.

Well its kinda hard to say. He never really stated he was over the effect. But I see where you are coming from.

Re: Jiraiya: The Most Powerful Sannin
Forgot to mention Jiraiya and Itachi are tied for the highest total score in the Databook. So by the number, he is stronger than the other Sannin.

Orochimaru was the strongest Hokage, if he didn't turn bad Hiruzen would have chosen him as Fourth Hokage and not Minato.

Re: Jiraiya: The Most Powerful Sannin
^ Read his post; Chosen him for Hokage, which is a fact. That was the original cause of contention between the two.

You support Liverpool, your opinion doesn't matter.
Also, I'm going in strength, Jiraiya, Orochimaru, and the other thing.
Intelligence, Orochimaru, Jairaiya, and the other thing.
If Tsunade truly wanted to be the strongest she just needs to find a male opponent and use the sexy no jutsu...

Orochimaru is stronger then Jiraiya, even if he does not have Edo Tensei.

Seeing as the Databook disagrees, I don't think so.

^ Databook is a generalized statement, and what I have been able to gather eludes to an individuals own potential.

As much as A>B>C logic is frowned upon, I agree with you, obviously.
