Uhm, no... There's more to Sakura than meets the eye.
She is that human character that can be found in every one of us. Does good, does wrong, cries, picks herself up, doesn't give up, fights with what she has, falls again, picks herself once more.
It's funny that all the people that blame Sakura are so similar to her, because we're all human.
That's what we do by basic. Do wrong, learn from our experience, fall, rise.
The message with Sasuke is another one, but people took it so literally.
The message is stand by one another in the good as in the worse.

That's the message people want to see in order to downplay Sakura and spread the hate towards her, not the message Kishi is conveying.

Every character in naruto shows an aspect of humanity, I don't think its worth say Sakura stands out in this when every other character has it. What I dislike about her is that she is one of the characters that for me, got stuck in the firts part of the manga (before the time split). Her character has the same problem that she still has yet to overcome: her feelings towards Sasuke. Since she did not move forward in her story, she became an incredibly dull secondary character.
I think this is one of the reason a lot of people just hate her guts.

i seriously dont think she does...IF kishi pulls something out like sasusaku and naruhina...he is strictly trying to prove that love does conquer all...then again that would suck for naruto because he loves sakura. anyways....

1) Indeed he did (she was trying to kill him too, she didnt want to see him sink lower because she does LOVE him and because she wanted to lessen naruto's burden of doing it, shes just not in love with him and never was, at least she doesnt act like it. she didnt treat sasuke the way she is with naruto now)

2)Sasuke DID care about her, i still think he cares deep down a little about both of them but he did develop a protectiveness over her when he was younger.

3) kishi has said himself that Sakura loves was a selfish love, thats not what he wants to get at with the idea of real love. Sakura has fallen in love with naruto, and i believe kishi is building up something awesome for that reveal

Love is a complicated thing man. She fell in love with Sasuke at the first series, because he was a savior like Naruto. OF course he had quite evil stepping stones he had to jump over. (Killing Itachi, taking revenge for uchiha, blah) Sakura fell in love with the good Sasuke. Love can't just go away, because she loved him for HIM, not who he was or how good he looked in her eyes. Now that Sasuke has gone insane, and fell in darkness she thought she could kill him, and her love for him could go away, and take away Naruto's burden. She probably confessed this to Naruto to get her mind off Sasuke, she knew she was gonna go kill Sasuke. She was most likely gonna kill him and come back and kiss Naruto and tell him it's okay or something. Love is a complicated thing, Sakura is still in love with Sasuke, and she doesn't know how she feels for Naruto.
