Onoki Vs Itachi

Who would win, i dont think this thread has been made yet so its interesting to see what people would say since both are strong and smart

Yeah about the genjutsu, he fough madara W/O getting caught in the gen and remember thats madara so he would be able to come up with a resolution for that as for yata mirror that only gaurds the front, what about the back?? and how long is his susano'o guna be maintained for??

If onoki takes flight early he wins,if not itachi wins. Jinton requires the user to stay still,something that is not affordably aganst people likt itachi. Though he could make several rock clones to distract itachi while he forms them,but then again itachi can make clones of his own. Genjutsu isnt much of a factoe seeing as he went against 5 madaras without getting caught.

Your mostlly right but as far as clones go onoki can make alot more to distract itachi so if he does somehow manage to pin itachi with clones its game however if itachi gets him with the fire ninjutsu or susano'o its game

He avoided genjutsu during the fight with 5 susano'o clones im pretty sure he can avoid itachis gen since its the same principle and as for ammy he could put his rocks infront of it of fly, unless its magatama ammy isnt getting him and even if it is magatama i dont think it would catch him

Madara was going easy on the kages like he stated. Not only that but MAdara had 4 other kages to deal with. Itachi is able to cast genjutsu without even using eye contact so that's completely irrelevant to how he countered Madaras. Susanoo won't even be used against Onnoki, I was just putting it out there as a possible trump card.

In the end Onnoki isn't escaping Itachi's genjutsu or Amaterasu. Jinton takes prep and Onnoki has to remain still to use it. The fact he has to avoid Itachi's eyes the whole fight makes it even harder for the old geezer who's back seems to go out every so often.

Crow summons and crow clones is also a possible counter and we all know how Itach is an opportunitist when it comes to genjutsu openings. onnoki would last as long as Diedara did the way I see it.

1) Databook said it doesn't have a true physical form , so it probably can
2)Regardless , Jinton is extremely linear, and takes a few secs to use and shoot.. if onookie flies to itachis back or what ever, he just has to turn around..

Sasuke was literally only caught by onooki's jinton because he was backed up against a wall

onoki wins mid-high difficulty, he did face off with Madara, who is superior.

he has shown feats that would destroy Itachi, the only challenge would be him avoiding Itachi's offensive attacks. As we've seen, he's very caution of genjutsu being used already.
