Doesn't Kurama Remind You Of...

Piccolo from Dragon Ball Z? I am not talking about later Piccolo (Frieza Saga, Cell, etc)... but early Piccolo, when he was just turning good? After reading the manga and seeing Kurama's current personality and traits, he sort of reminds me of Piccolo during the Saiyan Saga. Anyone else see the resemblence in their personalities?

OT: When I hear Kurama, I think of Yu Yu Hakusho. Best Kurama of any series.

I don't see how Sasuke=Vegeta, maybe in terms of looks but other than that... Sasuke has slowly turned more evil whereas Vegeta slowly turned more good. Unless you are talking about early Sasuke and early Vegeta then I could see more similarities.

I can somewhat see the resemblances between Kurama and Piccolo but they aren't too heavy.

A blind Sasuke had him Staggering like a druken cheerleader

I think Kishi did say once that he named him after Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho with Kurama being a fox and all.

-He hated Goku with a passion and planned to destroy him.

Kurama
-He hated Naruto with a passion and didn't want anything to do with him.

Piccolo
-When he learned that the saiyans were coming and were much stronger than he, Piccolo agreed to train Gohan and hold back his revenge plans.

Kurama
-Since the War holds such high stakes, Kurama decided to team up with Naruto, thus becoming a good guy.

Piccolo
-When Piccolo became a good guy in the early series, he still had a sour/cranky disposition towards people (this was toned down as the series went on in some cases). And he has shown exceptional leadership skills.

Kurama
-Even though Kurama is becoming a good guy, he still has a sour/cranky dispotion towards people around him (Example when he called Kakashi "Kakashi Brat". And when Kakashi asked Kurama if he was taking charge, Kurama said "Do you have the problem with that?" And he has been commended for his leadership skills.


And Kurama's relationship with Naruto seems to almost parallel Piccolo's relationship with Gohan. He thinks that Naruto has a lot of potential and now has a lot of faith in him, much like Piccolo did with Gohan.
