synopis

The overarching story of the manga is of Major Motoko Kusanagi's hunt for a cyber-criminal, The Puppeteer (known as The Puppet Master in the film), whose real identity is unknown. The Puppeteer commits a large number of crimes through a single modus operandi: "ghost hacking", that is, breaking into and taking control of human minds. As the agents of Public Security Section 9 start to unravel the mystery of the Puppeteer, it becomes clear that it is no ordinary criminal, but a unique autonomous artificial intelligence project (Top Secret Project 2501) created by another government agency, the Treaty Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), also known as Section 6. The Puppeteer escapes Section 6's control in pursuit of his evolution through merging with Kusanagi. Kusanagi, although initially skeptical, finally agrees to allow the Puppeteer to merge with her own consciousness, sharing her body, in what is no doubt intended to raise even more questions about the nature of human identity in a world where human consciousness is no longer unique.

there are a lot of gundams actually maybe someone on here can help... I think this was one of the gundams but im not sure. there were the robot things that they got inside to fight. there was a girl with crazy long blonde hair and she like this guy with black hair who was i think the main character. the show was both in space and i think on earth or some planet. ummmm idk but the robot thing was super important the main character guy was really good with the robot things. idk let me know if u guys need more info i can try to think of some... this was from a really long time ago... i think i saw it on adult swim or toonami.

There, the sphere gives them special suits and weapons, and sends them out on missions to kill aliens here on Earth. While these missions take place, the rest of the world is largely oblivious to them. These missions are lethal - few participants survive them. The sphere calls the shots and it's not the slightest bit nice. Its name... Gantz

SY's rundown: (may contain slight spoilers, read at you own risk)

Basicly some poeple that die are taken to a room where they are given missions and equiped by this sphere Gantz. So far the story has revolved around this dude, Kie. This manga is not shy about killing off what would seem like main characters, only to replace them with more. So after they gear up they get sent on missions to kill aliens. They get points for each alien kill and once you get 100 points you are free to regain your life. In between mission the characters are by all means alive and walk around as if they had never died in the first place.

The story contains a lot of disturbing subject matter, with morality seeming to be the main topic. What would you do to stay alive? being the main point here. The story is an easy read, and I've gone through about 150 chapters in 2 days with minimal effort. at some points the story does seem to drag because the will spend MANY chapters on one fight which lasts maybe 2 minutes in real life (flashes back to freeza vs SS goku in DBZ *shudders*). But if you want an action manga you can breeze through then this is the one for you.
