Tashigi is very brave and reckless when fighting her opponents. She will battle anyone who she considers her enemy, regardless what their reputation is or not. However, she has been easily defeated by opponents by not thinking things through and rushing in without planning ahead. While adept at sword fighting, she is usually clumsy. She is also very well-versed in katanas, knowing their names and origins. She was even carrying a small book about katanas. She is also stubborn, as she refuses to accept defeat. Demonstrating by others, Tashigi has a "sore loser" personality when it comes to losing a battle.

Tashigi has her own view of "justice" which differs from the other's, and will fight for what she sees as the right thing to do. Tashigi's stated goal is to remove all meito from the hands of those who would use them for their own selfish ends. Tashigi felt that as a woman, she would be perceived as inferior to men as a swordswoman. However, this does not stop her from trying hard to get stronger and achieve her dreams. As a swordswoman, she would die losing rather than lose in shame.

Tashigi wears her shirts buttoned up higher and shows less cleavage than most other females, indicating that she is a little prudish. However, Tashigi does have a feminine side, such as screaming in a girly voice when she was embarrassed when her breasts were exposed. Tashigi's most prominent trait is that she is very absent-minded.

History:

Tashigi is a second born child of a retired ninja family living at the border of the Land of Wind. She was raised to become a house wife and take care of the next generation of the family. However even being a child she recognised her parents’ intentions and fled from them and the Land of Wind. She was only 8 at that time. A child without knowlege of the world and without help is destined to die on the wastes. This almost happened with Tashigi too. She was wandering alone near the border when collapsed and lost consciousness.

She woke up in a warm bed inside a big house. There was a woman next to her who tend her wounds. She was too afraid to say anything, but it was needless. When the woman noticed she was awake, she started to talk to her calmly. She told Tashigi that she found her in the sand with serious injuries and couldn’t leave her alone to die. She told her not te be afraid, she is safe here and no one will harm her. After this Tashigi lost consciousness again.

Tashigi woke up days later with healed wounds. She soon opened up toward the woman and become friends with her. She was told she is currently in Kirigakure, in the Land of Water. Days later as their relationship developed she found out, the woman’s daughter died a few years ago and her husband left her. She was a fine shinobi, but lost her way and retired, so she is currently working as a healer.

The weeks and months passed away quickly, while Tashigi finally enjoyed her life with her now stepmother. She sighed she wanted to become a fine swordsman, but her parents refused it and forced her to become an ordinary woman. Hearing this, her stepmother decided to teach her ninja techniques and raise Tashigi as a shinobi. She was so happy to learn shinobi techniques, so she gave it her all. However she was so clumsy it was painful to watch.

As the months passed Tashigi and her mother recognised she really has a great talent to kenjutsu, so just like the famous Seven Swordsman, she started to specialise in this. It went well, but she couldn’t become better than an average swordsman. In order to raise her skills, she joined to the ninja academy and graduated in only 1 year. She could do this as she was older than the others and already had previous training.

After the graduation she joined to a team and started to go on missions, just like any other shinobi. It went quite well for years and she was even able to become a chuunin at the age of 16. However one day she accidentally saw her stepmother laying on the floor in her store. It turned out she has a serious illness without cure and she only has months to live. A world collapsed in Tashigi after hearing the truth, but she stayed with her stepmother until the end.

4 years after the death of her mother she left the village and started to travel all over the nations, gathering knowledge and finding true justice. This wasn’t go too well as the other shinobi always step in her way and tried to kill her. After a few failed attempts she hide her true self and travelled as a regular traveller.

One day she met with a ninja from the hidden rain. It was a man back from his secret mission, but accidentally he disclosed himself to Tashigi. He didn’t have other choice, but to kill Tashigi on the spot. During their fight Tashigi accidentally awakened her hidden ability to move with incredible speed and succesfully killed the other shinobi. After this she decided to learn more about her hidden ability and went back home.

After re-uniting with her parents and were trough a long discussion she got permission to learn swift release from his father who also had this ability. Weeks later Tashigi left her home again and used the Rain Shinobi's identity to infiltrate Amegakure and try to find out what’s going on in there.
