Reading the first post it dawned on me that every Hokage has died through personal choice and sacrifice to protect the younger generation, like a Hokage should do. So maybe Hashi sacrificed himself because he was forced into a lose/lose situation of sorts, much like all the other Hokages. Just a thought.

I also find it weird that no one knew of Hashi's abilities, obviously Sarutobi did because he was trained by him, but other than that people just say "God Shinobi" or something. You would think Danzo would know something about him seeing as he was trained by the 2nd, which is maybe why he implanted Hashi cells, but was this before or after he had the arm full of sharingans?

I think he probably went out 3rd raikage style. It isn't known, but I feel like the only way he could really die is facing a ridiculous amount of enemies and almost survives but gets stabbed in the back by a lucky kunai throw.

Also the fact that Madara surived the fight at the valley of the end and knows that Hashi is dead implies he possibly knows how he died.

Hashi is far older than tobi,tobi is kakashi's age grade and none of them saw hashi's time.and when revived by edo tensei,you won't come back old that's why madara wanted to be revived so that he could come back younger,madara only lived that long because of the juubi's statue

you got it mixed up dude.. madara comes back as an edo in his prime coz kabuto did some altering in his dna... but not hashirama when ORO reanimate him with edo... kabutos edo tensei is far more advance than ORO in part 1 ... clear dude?? i hope you get the point

After the fight with Madara, He realized he was deeply in love with Madara & felt guilty. So he committed suicide.
