Wood Dragon question
I just read on narutopedia that the wood dragon technique can only absorb bijuu's chakra. And thinking back I only remember Madara saying that Hashirama used it to bind kurama. My point is, do you guys think it can absorb any chakra ? We already know that mokuton has a special effect on bijuu chakra, yamato could restrain kyubi in naruto so saying that wood dragon can only absorb bijju chakra doesn't sound so farfetched. Check chp 607-608. Please give me your insights

Re: Wood Dragon question
It seemed pretty blatant when Gai said "it's absorbing the kyuubi's chakra"

Re: Wood Dragon question
It can likely just absorb Bijuu Chakra. If not, Hashi and Yamato would beat pretty much anyone

I know it can absorb kurama's chakra. I was wondering if it can absorb ANY chakra. Like someone told me how wood dragon > susano because it can absorb chakra.

Well since bijuu chakra is no different than regular chakra (there's just more of it ), I would say that, yes, it can absorb any chakra.

A wood dragon was not used against Jinton.

The tailed beast are potions of the juubi and the juubi is natural energy. The body molds chakra and executes ninjustu. The wood release has life giving properties which is invoked by yang chakra. The wood release subdues the opponent or in this case the tailed beast by locking or extracting however you want to word it the yang chakra which is one of two of the core fundamentals the other yin in the process of molding and casting ninjustu of any kind. This inability to utilize yang chakra completely shuts down the ability to process chakra. In short though yes the wood release can subdue anyone as long as they have the chakra and can perform it of course

*sorry, please see my edited post*
the different between wood dragon and simple wood jutsu is wood dragon suck tailed beast charkra faster and can fly with its big and long body. every wood release absorb only tailed beast charkra.

Re: Wood Dragon question
I see. So maybe it can absorb more than just bijuu chakra but as of now it is better to assume that it can't since nothing of the sort has been stated.
But I think it can't. How OP would that be ? How do you defeat something like that..

Right. And I'm saying that normal Mokuton jutsus do not absorb chakra. Just the Wood Dragon.
Now, we know that Yamato was able to suppress (not absorb) the Kyubbi chakra using another kind of Mokuton Jutsu. So that's another "special" Mokuton.

Re: Wood Dragon question
it's probably made to supress bijuu's and be bit over attack hit gabapunta with wood dragon, i think hashirama inherited sage's body and that attack reminds me a lot one paths pain used, to absorb chakra.. so it makes sense hashirama can absorb any living creature chakra with wood dragon..
about that susanoo question i think againts that example perfect susanoo dragon don't do jack, it's wood so enton kagutsuchi will put it to peaces madara's swords will put it to peaces naruto's rasengans put it to dust..
it's just best for tailed beast

Actually Yamamoto suppressed Kisame's chakra, so Mukotons absorption ability isn't limited to just tailed beasts

Yeah I remember that now. But suppress and absorb are two different things. It would be way too much to with if wood dragon can absorb any chakra, and we all know how powerful its absorbtion power is, that would mean it is > razenchuriken, hell stab, amaterasu etc... Essentially any jutsu. They are all chakra based.
