If only we got to see Hanzo at his full potential. Too bad.

He was fear among the lands as Hanzo The Salamander. It was really sad to see less than nothing from him. Juding by the hype he was extremely powerful. However we never actually got to see a hardcore fight from him. After he got murdered my Deva Path we see him again and yet again it was lackluster at best.
We get to see Mifune toy with his emotions and convictions. We never got to see his jutsu's or how he handles combat with his Salamander(Ebisu I believe). It was sad to see such a overrated character and hype up to lose in such way. I really wish there was a actual Hanzo fight I can see. But alas we can't get what we want.
Well, do you guys like Hanzo at least? Who would you think he would rival against? And was he ever a Kage?

Hanzo is pitiful.

I think it would of been great, and this expresses my disappointment to the lost potential in this war to display awesome characters like this, but alas, plot development is more important -____-

Utakata: I'm dead.

That's why it needs more cowbell(I did not steal that from someone)
Yeah the war cheated out of my Hanzo fight. Why!!!
We did not see the whole Hanzo and Pein fight. So I don't think he got One shot.

Yahiko could have faked his death. I think it was stupid for him to even died.

If you were fighting a dead man what would you have done. He was indeed scared though.
Deva Path is scary...

There's only one correct answer and yes he is a fodder. So is Naruto, Sasuke, Madara, Minato, and Itachi ect
Everyone is a fodder. Check out the real definition.

Proof they were at there weakest? Cause even then they were no match for Hanzo. Mifune is awesome. And Deva Path, eh I understand his defeat.

Isn't that obvious, I don't normally use the ABC logic but it's just pretty logical here.
How could the 3 sannins at their prime lose to Hanzo who lost to Deva Path alone without breaking a sweat when later in the series Jiraiya manages to kill 4 Pain..?
The sannins were obviously not at their prime at the time

Possibly at the weakest point not that they were I just based that off their age.

You cant assume it was just Deva Path that fought him. We never even got to see the whole fight. And same with the 3 sannins. Jiraiya was even shocked to see pain killed Hanzo.
He brought the whole 6 paths of pain to only use one?

I honestly don't know. I always thought it was at there prime. But that other comment with Abc logic is questioning my judgement...

True. My guess using Universail pull and stabbed him with demon rods. Deva Path likes those things.

Re: If only we got to see Hanzo at his full potential. Too bad.
Hanzo "lost himself" at some point before fighting the Paths and after fighting Mifune. Remember how Mifune was disappointed in him?
So, AFTER becoming less sure of himself as a person and a shinobi he was able to go toe to toe with a person whose ENTIRE LIFE is kenjutsu. He also resisted Edo Tensei through SHEER WILLPOWER. Hanzo in his prime, with full determination, is a fearsome prospect.
Remember, we have never seen him fight at his full potential. He wasn't allowed ninjutsu against Mifune, and still held his own. He probably would have won if he had determination...

yea he does that a lot but in the anime, like i said he just pushes Hanzao against a wall then finish him off with a shinra tensei, that's all. I'm not sure if it's cannon though..

Nice reply, Hanzo was disgruntled in that fight. Seeing how he lost his conviction. And he i trusted that to Mifune. And his loosen to be useless against him.
He gave Mifune the antidote and then left him. Mifune used that to make himself immune to the poisen. So it was more around Mifunes favor. And Hanzo's weapon was rusted. Saddly.
