The most selfless characters in Naruto

Was willing to save Naruto, even if it meant death.

Tsunade



Tsunade gave almost all her chakra to Katsuyu in order to keep the villagers safe during the Invasion of Pain arc and uses almost the rest to create a clone of Katsuyu to help out. She almost died and went into a Coma.
Tsunade also was cut in half by Madara,, and summoned Katsuyu despite being in that state. She ignored Katsuyu's request to patch her up, asked it to bring the dying Kages, and was willing to give up her life by using the last of her chakra to save the Kages.

Itachi



Risked his reputation in saving his village even if it meant turning on his own clan. His devotion to the clan was brought from birth to the grave

Kakashi



Spams Kamui and uses his last chakra to save Choji by warping away Pain's nail with Kamui. He saves Choji and dies to accomplish that...

Jiraiya



Gives up his life to allow Pain's secret to be discovered. Entrusts his will into Naruto as his dying wish.

Chiyo



Sacrifices her life and gives it to Gaara to allow him to live once more.

Kisame



Commits suicide by making his sharks devour him so that his organization's secrets are not revealed.

Young Obito



Throws Kakashi out of the way so he doesn't get crushed by a boulder. Gets crushed by it instead.

Minato and Kushina



Sacrifice their lives to save their son.

Yahiko



Not wanting to put Nagato in such a horrible position he drives himself into Nagato's knife, and entrusts and allows him to continue the plan for peace

You can't simply choose one. Their are allot of ninja out there that would happily give their life up to help a fellow comrade or friend. Who is to say one is greater than the other?

They all died because they wouldn't give up the were about's of Naruto, even if they didn't know, then wouldn't cowardly say they didn't know... They refused to even acknowledge him, because they will always look out for their village, even at the cost of their life's.

Haku is another one that isn't on the list, why? Was his sacrifice not spectacular enough to be deemed "King Of the Selfless". One sacrifice is not greater than another, as long you protect the one you love or the person you kept safe, In this case Kabuza

I understand that, however my point was that you can't simply deem ones sacrifice greater than another. Yes, other's may cause other's more pain, others may save more life's, although as long as you give up your life for the greater good then you are a Hero.

Not to mention the Sandaime Raikage. Took on the Hachibi himself MANY times just so his village could stay safe. Going by canon, he probably saved his village the most out of anyone. He died (probably of chakra exhaustion) fighting against 10,000 shinobi/kunoichi for three days and three nights to let his comrades escape. Tell me he isn't #1.

Funny how people forget Naruto.. He would do anything to help his friends. Akatsuki was after him, but that didn't stop him from trying to save Garaa. He wants to save Sasuke even though it hurt him in the process. He had a crush on Sakura but promised to get Sasuke back for her. He wanted to stop the war by himself (Even though it was impossible) just so his friends wouldn't get hurt. He even forgave Nagato after he killed people that was close to him.. Come on Naruto is one of the selfless people in Narutoverse
