stupid death note mistake!!

i just finished death note (****ing amazing)
and when light said he gave up membership of the note book he lost all his memory but IF YOU REMEMBER HE HAD A TORN-OUT PIECE OF PAPER IN HIS WATCH WHICH WAS STILL TOUCHING HIM so my question how could he lose his memory of the note book when he was already touching a bit of ripped up paper??!?!? :confused:

One of the things i dislike about death note is that they overestimated Kira's intelligence and put it in the same bracket as fortune telling. What baffles me even now is a very important event something that not even kira wouldve predicted which was the fake death of one of the members working for L.

I watched it a long time ago so it isn't that fresh in my memory. But i remember one of the members of kira faked his death, otherwise the business organisation they were investigating was catching up to him. So by faking his death they wouldn't need to write his name in the death book because he is already 'dead'.

That was an important event that even kira wouldv'e predicted

Thats not even a real problem. Heres one though:
How did light and mikami write the exact same circumstances for takada's death? Remember, this was what let near beat kira. Mikami going to the bank on the 26th to use the notebook. But light and mikami had no contact on that day takada got captured, why did they bothh write suicide by burning? If there had been two different methods, light might have become suspicious. But still, one helluva manga death note was that this was the only real flaw i could find in the story.
