Either way the season finale is gonna leave us hanging just like they did last season

The Deb poisoning could go either way. The writers definitely hinted at Deb doing it to herself since Hannah had always killed the people she poisoned, and I don't think a single strand of hair would be so perfectly placed to incriminate her had it actually been her.

As for Dexter getting arrested, that too can go either way based on the preview. If he were arrested that would set up a Dexter in jail and on death row final season. But at the same time we saw Doakes, so if that was the same scene a dream would be pretty likely. Its hard to imagine though that LaGuerta doesn't have enough evidence pointing at Dexter to at least bring him in for questioning. She doesn't have anything to convict him yet, but she's getting close.

My theories about the finale are as follows:

1. Deb has either gone off the deep end and poisoned herself, because she knew it was the only way to get Dexter away from Hannah, or Hannah really is just a psycho who wanted nothing more than to harm Dexter. I believe Hannah was telling the truth, especially when she said "I don't make mistakes, If I wanted Deborah dead, she would be".

2. I think with the return of Doax and Dexter getting arrested, it's probably one of his many day dreams that he's had in the past. Doax couldn't possibly have survived, and if he did why would he wait this long before returning? It makes little sense. It's also a bit far fetched to say Dexter would be arrested so suddenly, they have let people go for a lot less, and the evidence LaGuerta actually has on him is minimal at best.

3. If Dexter is actually arrested, it had something to do with Hannah, only Hannah and Deb know Dexter's secret, and I doubt after everything Deb has done she would turn her brother over now. Which leaves Hannah as the only other possible character, however I believe she still cares for Dexter, and I don't think it would suit her persona to spill the beans..just yet. The only way I see Hannah doing that, is if she takes Deb down along side Dexter. It's a long shot.

Overall It was a great episode, and the finale looks promising! I think the next season is more than likely going to be the last. It's either going to be a season of Dexter running for his life, or him finally giving up killing for good. I believe he's admitted that the only way he can live a normal life is if he gave it up. I think next season will be his realization of having to choose life or death. If he wants to live he has to stop killing, and if he keeps killing, he can't really live.
