Heroes or Villains

Which do you usually like more? In almost every anime I watch or manga I read, a villain is usually my favorite.

I like tragic villains. Possibly why I am drawn to Nagato as my favorite from Naruto.

On the same note I like the incredibly twisted, which explains why I like Yami Marik and Sosuke Aizen.

I usually like the protagonists more than villains.
However, I do like some anti-heroes or villains with a deep backstory or motive.

I like the villain only if their motives are realistic and have more to it. Not just "I want to take over the world." Sorry but I need more than that in order to like a villain.

Mine tend to be a hero, but it is usually a side character that doesn't get a lot of attention.

Here are the favorites of the three manga I follow

Bleach- Unohana

Naruto- Hinata (and Kakuzu...but he is a villain)

One Piece- Robin

Villains. They make the stories interesting by being the source of conflict. Besides, if there was a series full of heroes, it eould be boring(except One Piece), but a series full of villains? The chaos would be endless, the excitement is boundless.

I'm actually working on a story of many villains where the main characters are "evil" and the heroes are antagonists.

Antiheroes are the very best, like Red Hood.
