Im actually in the middle of a theory as to how madara would let obito use rin tensei at the expense of his life.
This also confirms that nagato was just a masive pawn who was supposed to die in order to revive madara. It confirms that nagato didn't die from low reserves but rather from the use of rin tensei. Actually makes sense now that a tensei jutsu involves a sacrifice. Chiyo's Kisho Tensei. Orochimaru's edo tensei and chibaku/shinra tensei all involves human sacrifices. Either reviving the dead with your own life or shortning your life span

Remember when frieza killed krillin then attempted to kill picollo in dbz? And how it made him go super saiyan. There may not be a ressurection of the characters that die, this is afterall one of the last battles. Kishi may kill off a few more characters and also show slides from naruto's viewpoint seeing many ninjas from the alliance getting slaughtered. I haven't seen that look in naruto's eyes since the battle with deva-path pein right after he impailed hinata. I predict that after this war naruto will realize that if he couldn't save his friends in battle then he can't save sasuke with talk-no-jutsu(he will be way more serious in the fight against sasuke, he won't be playing around because he's seen the worst of war) . Naruto is going to be so seasoned before fighting sasuke; he has to win. I give sasuke props though because he defeated naruto twice, but this time it's not going to be that way.

I dont know what Kishi is doing, Naruto is not usually weak like this even after 2/3 rasenshurikens, he just comes back to his normal self not in a weak state. Anyway I guess Kish is making him handicapped in order to plot no jutsu people's death.
I am sure Kishi has something else planned for killing major characters by using some kind of resurrection to bring everyone back, but first he has to kill these guyz to allow Naruto go crazy into his actual powers. He is going to get a crazy combination of BM and Sage mode that will enter the Juubi's mind and over turn it on Madara and Obito before he finally seals it in himself and take full control of it using the powers the other Bijuus agreed to give Naruto because they believe he reminded them of SO6P!

What utter garbage.

First of all, this chapter just delays information about Shikaku's brilliant plan. We barely see anyone react to their HQ getting destroyed. Only a few people are actually of any help here and they just seemingly stand there while the Hyuga help Naruto. The Hyuga helping Naruto just seems like something Kishimoto threw in as an afterthought going 'oh yeah, those guys, they should get some screen time'. Did he honestly think we'd get new respect for Neji just with Narutos off-hand comment?

Madara's revelation that one can't be a Jinchuriki as an Edo Tensei was not surprising and it's something I, and I'm sure a lot more, have speculated about FOR MONTHS.

Did Kishimoto honestly think we'd care about Neji's death? He's been seen in the Chunin Exams, where he was an obnoxious twat, and then he showed some growth when he fought the amazing Spider-man, and then he had a funny scene in the beginning of Shippuden, but that's it! Minor characters just aren't as interesting anymore due to lack of screen time and relevance because of the messed up power levels. Not only that, but he just shielded Naruto from two out of thousands of spikes. What kind of death is that? At least if Hiashi had done it it would've served some kind of purpose, like saving his brother's son, as his brother saved him. Not to mention the whole 'letting the next generation take over' which is supposedly a major theme. Now he just stood there.

The only saving grace to this chapter was Obito's and Madaras argument. While it is ALSO something that has been predicted for a long time now, it was at least portrayed well.

Now that I think about it although it still makes me cry I guess somebody had to die to push naruto over the edge. Hinata was going to give her life but because it was Neji job to protect her he took her place. I think its so that Naruto can be with her in the end.

totally disagree. the chapter was not EPIC enough. it was good and stuff but Neji deserved so much more than this.
even Asuma death was more epic and i thought Neji was more important, at least to readers. should not even mention epicness of Kisame, because its hard to match that one
