thw whole point of neji dying is to finally meet his dad because neji never saw his dad in this war and the hygua master vs neji dad battle was skip so maybe this was for a reason so that neji would have a conversation with his dad first.

also if neji dies his curse might be removed from him so maybe neji is not really going to stay dead forever and come back to life without the curse.

Personally I find it good that he is killing off people. You guys always said " it's a war but nobody in konoha dies blah blah" well here we go" I think he is killing off people to max out konoha full potential
