Pretty much summed up my thoughts there. Kubo did confirm a while back that Grimmjow didn't die and will be reappearing later on in the series soo I'm guessing all of that plus recent manga evidence point towards it being him.

I do believe the rescuer must be Grimmjow. there are too many similarities. it could be someone else, though i'd say it's a 80% on it's Grimmjow, and 20% on someone else
