[Question] vs threads not in "Latest Threads"?

I was wondering why vs threads do not show up in the Latest Threads section?

Also why do top 10's have to be in there own sticky?

I think having there own sticky make them less popular.

When vs threads were in latest threads they would get spammed with the same posts. I believe that's one of the reasons they got rid of them.

I am also dissapointed that top 10's keep getting shot down, there sticky has killed that topic I swear.

I mean people don't want to go to a sticky that has so little views to talk about top 10's people wan't to post them in disscution section to have them shown to all who come to NB am I right?

To me it'd make much more sense if the vs threads were moved in the latest threads again, and the RPG related threads would only appear in their own section. I mean, I've seen threads filling up the latest threads which are all closed, or some guy teaching anouther guy a technique, which noone except for the two guys is allowed to post in.

I agree, with RP those are suppose to be 1 v 1, having them not show up would make much more sense. I can't tell you how many times I have seen an RP start and some noobie go onto it and talk about off topic things/ask whats going on.

This. The vs. threads were moved out of Latest Threads so people just started putting vs threads in discussion masked as "discussing the pros and cons of a fight" or something like that where they just "discuss" each pro and con of a character fighting, and then the thread is deleted and infracted for being in the wrong section. Just put vs. back in latest threads.

Blame it in versus thread makers who not only keep posting same threads over and over, just to reach in the hottest thread list they kept posting same arguments over and over arguing back and forth. It's simply inane, the Versus threads were removed from the list last year on the demand of users who got tired of such antics.

One batch was so insistent to make the thread post 100th page the thread maker and his friends not only spammed the thread ridiculously, they used alts to keep it going. One had 28 posts from the same alt repeating the same line throughout the thread. And then they were crying murder all over the forum when thread was finally closed down for they were expecting award for that spamfest.

While i acknowledge your point and agree with you to an extent, the NB you seem to be describing seems greatly different to the current one. Putting Vs Threads back into hottest threads won't change much in terms of the section itself, its already NB's most inactive forum (discounting a few) and repetitive threads don't even receive any posts. Few threads in the Vs Section actually have the potential to reach hottest threads considering it has to be both an interesting issue and one which isn't frequently brought up.

Pretty much anything involving Nagato/Madara and so on fail to receive posts since they've been done to death.

Maybe a trial period could be put in place ? In the end its the choice of the staff, i'll respect your decision either way.

It actually does make sense if you think about it. Imagine you doing math lessons at someone's house. Then all of a sudden a rabbit comes and interrupts?

Hence why only the 2 guys can post in it. If not, it will turn in to spam

Vs threads are, 95% of the time either repeated, voided of content or simply trolling/spam threads. They were abused and still are to either abuse the thank you/like buttons or the latest threads/hottest threads lists (beats me why that is important...). So allowing them to show in those lists is counterproductive.

As for the TOP threads, the sticky was made because in a single day we had about 20 to 30 threads regarding personal "tops" and they generally converged in the same discussion, same arguments, same characters, etc etc. Its the same topic: who are your top ninjas in the series? Thus, because it is the same topic, making a multitude of threads about the same is spamming. To avoid having to infract everyone who spammed the same threads over and over again but still allow the discussions, the sticky thread was made. People don't post there much because they are self centered needy people who want the attention to be shifted into their own little thread, assuming that their opinion or point is somehow always better than their neighbours when in essence its 99% the same. Its a way to control the spam in that section and it will be done. And probably will be done for other similar issues in the future if needed.
